Splinterlands - One Woman Army: Tatiana Blayde [ENG/DE]

Hello Splinterlandians,

today my blog is going to be about Splinterlands again, because I had a very interesting Ranked Battle a few days ago. In short, I won the battle thanks to a single card and that was Tatiana Blayde, my only legendary Gladius card. What was interesting about the battle were the amazing stats that Tatiana Blayde achieved, but I don't want to give too much away. By the way, this blog is my entry for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, where you can earn valuable upvotes.

Four elements were playable in my battle: Water, Earth, Death and Dragon.

I also had a low to medium mana cap of 22.

I had to adapt my lineup to three active rulesets. These were "Born Again", "Equal Opportunity" and "Going the Distance".

So I had to take into account in my selection of cards that I could only play monsters with ranged attack and that all monsters receive the abilities "Rebirth" and "Opportunity" at the start of the battle. At first glance, the active rulesets definitely favor the use of cards that have the "Martyr" ability. Let's see how my opponent and I put together the lineup.

I decided to build my team around the Earth Summoner Lobb Lowland, because on the one hand I have one more "Martyr" card available with Fungus Flinger and on the other hand I am able to play a Gladius card thanks to the "Conscript" Ability. For this I chose Tatiana Blayde, which is the centerpiece of my lineup. Due to the "Equal Opportunity" ruleset, she could use both attacks from the back and the first position. I set up the two "Martyr" monsters around Tatiana Blayde so that she could benefit from the buff. It was a bit risky of me to set up Xenith Archer in between, but I still had mana left and she would be the first card to be attacked anyway due to the lowest life points.

My opponent @ikill4yo0 chose a slightly different strategy and set up his team around the Dragon Summoner Quix the Devious. He also relied on a card with the "Martyr" ability. However, unlike me, he didn't have a Gladius card and relied more on a variety of smaller monsters. Let's see how the battle developed and who emerged victorious.

I was able to win the battle and Tatiana Blayde destroyed the opponent's cards almost single-handedly. Thanks to the "Bloodlust" Ability and the buffs of my "Martyr" cards, Tatiana Blayde had unbeatable stats of 17 Ranged Attack, 19 Melee Attack, 20 Speed and 21 Healthpoints at the end of the battle.

GG to my opponent @ikill4yo0. As you can see, the battle took place in Wild Mode and in the lower areas of the Gold League. Compared to Modern mode, you get significantly fewer rewards here, but Modern mode is very competitive in my opinion and since I still have little to no Rebellion cards, I don't really play it at the moment.

That was my battle with Tatiana Blayde! I think it was a good example of how strong Gladius cards can be in Ranked Battles if you use them smartly. So I can definitely understand the reasoning behind the recent proposal to ban Gladius cards in the Bronze League.

heute soll es auf meinem Blog mal wieder um Splinterlands gehen, denn ich hatte vor ein paar Tagen ein sehr interessantes Ranked Battle. Kurz gesagt habe ich das Battle dank einer einzigen Karte gewonnen und das war Tatiana Blayde, meine einzige legendäre Gladius Karte. Interessant waren an dem Battle die krassen Stats, die Tatiana Blayde erreicht hat, aber ich möchte nicht zu viel vorweg nehmen. Übrigens ist dieser Blog mein Entry für die Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, bei der man wertvolle Upvotes verdienen kann.

Ich musste in meiner Auswahl an Karten also berücksichtigen, dass ich lediglich Monster mit Fernkampf spielen konnte und alle Monster die Fähigkeiten "Rebirth" und "Opportunity" zu Beginn des Battles erhalten. Auf den ersten Blick sprechen die aktiven Rulesets definitiv für die Nutzung von Karten, die die Fähigkeit "Martyr" besitzen. Schauen wir mal, wie mein Gegner und ich das Lineup zusammengestellt haben.

Ich habe mich entschieden mein Team rund um den Earth Summoner Lobb Lowland aufzubauen, da ich zum einen mit Fungus Flinger eine "Martyr" Karte mehr zur Verfügung habe und zum anderen durch die "Conscript" Ability in der Lage bin eine Gladius Karte zu spielen. Hierfür habe ich Tatiana Blayde gewählt, die das Kernstück meines Lineups darstellt. Aufgrund des "Equal Opportunity" Rulesets konnte sie sowohl von den hinteren als auch von der ersten Position beide Angriffe nutzen. Um Tatiana Blayde habe ich die beiden "Martyr" Monster aufgestellt, sodass sie von dem Buff profitieren kann. Es war etwas riskant von mir dazwischen Xenith Archer aufzustellen, allerdings hatte ich noch Mana übrig und sie würde aufgrund der niedrigsten Lebenspunkte sowieso als erste Karte angegriffen werden.

Mein Gegner @ikill4yo0 wählte eine etwas andere Strategie und stellte seine Team rund um den Dragon Summoner Quix the Devious auf. Auch er setzte auf eine Karte mit der "Martyr" Fähigkeit. Allerdings hatte er im Gegensatz zu mir keine Gladius Karte und setzte eher auf eine Vielzahl von kleineren Monstern. Schauen wir mal wie das Battle sich entwickelte und wer als Sieger hervortrat.

Ich konnte das Battle für mich entscheiden und Tatiana Blayde hat die gegnerischen Karten quasi im Alleingang vernichtet. Durch die "Bloodlust" Ability und den Buffs meiner "Martyr" Karten, hat Tatiana Blayde zum Ende des Battles unüberwindbare Stats von 17 Ranged Attack, 19 Melee Attack, 20 Speed und 21 Healthpoints.

GG an meinen Gegner @ikill4yo0. Wie ihr seht entstand das Battle im Wild Modus und in den unteren Bereichen der Gold League. Im Vergleich zum Modern Modus erhält man hier zwar deutlich weniger Rewards, allerdings ist der Modern Modus meiner Meinung nach sehr kompetitiv und da ich noch kaum bis gar keine Rebellion Karten besitze, spiele ich diesen aktuell nicht wirklich.

Das war mein Battle mit Tatiana Blayde! Ich denke es ist ein gutes Beispiel gewesen, wie stark die Gladius Karten in Ranked Battles sein können, wenn man sie einigermaßen schlau nutzt. Daher kann ich die Hintergründe des jüngsten Proposals, Gladius Karten in der Bronze League zu verbieten, auf jeden Fall nachvollziehen.
