Going The Distance | How I Play The Battle

This week battle mage challenge is one of my toughest ruleset ever, like for real anytime I see the Going the distance rule set, I use to have this mixed feeling because winning this kind of battle is somehow hard, Going the distance require only range monster cards in battle and there is this rule that range cards can't attack in the first position except they have have the close range ability or there is a close range ruleset, this do make them the least option when it come to picking your monster cards, there are some that are exceptional and strong in battle though but having them in one's collection is rare.

Having this kind of rule set even when combined with other ruleset won't work, it is like a dominant ruleset and there are just 2 strategy to play this kind of rule set and just 1 extra which is to just pick what ever you feel like picking but to the main strategy, the first is to use a close range ability cards or pick a close range summoner from the earth element if it is available on the option or make use of the anti range monster cards which will dealt damage back to the attackers. Checking out the rule set giving to use, we had the going the distance paired with True Aim which make it more sweet because all attack will surely hit their target and to complement the rule set we had 60 mana capped which means all the best to pick what ever we feel like picking but my hope dash when we can only pick from 3 element, life, death and dragon element, would have pick Fire element because that is my favourite range based element but it isn't among the option this time around.

So i had to go all in with dragon paired with life element, even though I was skeptical about this choice of mine, I just decided to follow my mind, I placed Drybone raider in my first position, a dual attack card even though the range part was useless the melee part still work and I make sure most of my card have enough armour to make them stay longer than expected and it is also a double strike card, then I placed Gargoya devil with close range ability and also zyvax vuul which is one card I rarely use but I just had to in this battle. I also picked Berik snakeye which is a gold leggy range card, still waiting for the day we will be able to sell this particular card (money), I had to place this particular card Anachbon bolter with the headwind ability just to make sure I reduce my opponent attack and lastly was venari crystalsmith to serve as my tank healer

The way it all play out was amazing and I must say vuul with the 3x recharge attack with Venari as a tank healer really help a lot in this battle, also reducing his range attack with headwinds make it pretty hard for him to damage me that well, it look like a surprised attack, he wasn't expecting it and it serve as an extra advantage for me to wine the game.
