No one made it to C1 this season! NO ONE!

I just had a look at last seasons ranking. I wasn't aware that nobody made it to C1 last season and there were only about 63 people in C2. Well then I'm kind of releaved that it's not me who is doing so much worse than in the past but probably something related to the game algorithm.
Everyone dragging each other down, apparently the trick is to not play at all for the first thrid of the season and then hardly at all after that!
Oh yeah, I used to be in C1 a few times in the past. And regularly in C2. Now I'm happy that I still reach C3. The challenge is continuous, that's for sure.
I haven't been able to reach C3 for quite some time. When I look at the ranking it seems I'm not the only one struggling with reach the past levels.
I just dropped to Gold 2 at the beginning of this season (starting in Diamond 3)... Gold 1 now... I see many others have dropped significantly lower than they used to be regularly in recent seasons. It'll be a struggle.
It is good to hear that everyone has a challange to get back to their previous leagues. I ended the season at Silver 2(2239) and reset to 700 rating. I promptly lost 10 in a row to drop to 506 rating. I have been blaming it on the bots. I believe that it is just a different mindset at each league. I end up renting various power cards to move up (Coral Wraith sneak magic, etc.).

Wow.. In the past I could get to Silver 2 or 3 without too much trouble but last season I was struggling so badly in Bronze League. Fortunately, was able to make it to Silver 3 on the last day. On some days I can win 8 out of 10 matches but on some days I win just 1 out of 10 matches and I wonder why..
I think it's getting more and more difficult to keep the level or even increase it and it's probably the game algorithm that is responsible for it.
