Plots will have some use in later stage, I guess after SPS governance fully implemented in Splinterlands.
But, I think price is almost same in terms of USD, the investors are only manipulating Hive amount relative to USD price.
It is good to buy one with rewards from blogging on Hive or making some good loot from splinterlands.

The whole land extension looks very exciting. You can use your land and your NFT's to actually mine assets for the game. The question is how long will it take to be put in place.

Nothing... yet. They give airdrop points atm.

Do you think once they are revealed that common plots will fall back to the $20.00 range?
It would be interesting to get one and see what can be farmed with it.

I'd be really pissed off if that happened. As a tract owner, I assume I'll have enough common plots inside the tract.
I dont' think we will see $20 values anytime soon but it's not impossible either. I like the concept of farming stuff for the game on land but it seems we will need to wait a bit longer :-)
I am still looking for information on what will happen on land. With 100,000+ common plots they would be the cheapest. Thinking Common = Resources, Rare = Potions, Epic = ?
I'm playing the waiting game with my land assets. But too much waiting isn't good either. Hopefully, land expansion doesn't turn into fata morgana.
Around 2030,we may see the land extension being put in place... or not lol.
I still think land is too expensive for me but it really makes me wonder how prices will react once the SPS airdrop is over. I have heard people saying that prices will crash hard but I am not sure.

As long as people can't split tracts and regions, I don't believe that prices will come crashing down. I think that we might see some lower prices though.
Hmm I feel that there is a lot of unknowns at the moment due to the end of the SPS airdrop. I recalled at the start of Jun, they changed the daily and season rewards formula and the rentals plunged and gave everyone a shock. So I think I will wait and see how the ecosystem evolves over the next 20 days, with the Wild/Modern coming up soon as well.
I agree there are a lot of uncertainities around at the moment and it's difficult to predict how the game and the assets will evolve.
