Hope everyone is doing well.
Today we are going to talk about my experience about a battle featuring Dragon Splinter and the card we are going to highlight is Void Dragon.
ABOUT THE CARD :
Before we talk about the battle, let us briefly talk about the card.
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: LEGENDARY
Element: DRAGON
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: FlyingVoidPhase
The Dragon splinter comes with a lot of options and depth, but since most sought after cards are quite expensive I did not play with Dragon splinters much until I got a level 2 Quix the Devious. And one of my favorite cards from the dragon splinter has been the Void Dragon from the Chaos Legion.
Let's take a look at the stats and then talk a bit more about the stats and utility of the card.
I have the card at level 1 which comes with the magic damage of 1, speed of 5 and hp of 7. The Void Dragon is very hard to hit because of it's high speed along with the Flying ability. It also has Void making it a solid tank or off tank.
At level 3, the card becomes even better with the Phase ability. And at the highest level Void Dragon does it's share it of contribution with 2 magic damage where as it's hp is 9. The card has mana cost of only 5 which is crazy compared to the utility it brings to the deck.
THE RULE SET :
- Mana Cap : 14
- Rule set :
Noxious Fumes: All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.
Equal Opportunity: All Monsters have the Opportunity ability. - Available Splinters :

THE LINE UP :
For our summoner we went for a level 2 Quix the Devious.
The - 1 to archery and -1 to speed this summoner inflicts to the opponent deck are amazing debuffs to have and being a legendary summoner, it only took 3 copies to each level 2 allowing us to use max level silver cards.
At position 1, we have Void Dragon, the card of the week. The plan is to frustrate the opponent as our Void Dragon dodges the attacks

At position 2, we went with River Nymph, an amazing support card from the water splinter.
At level 2 comes with 1 magic damage, 3 speed and 3 hp. Most importantly, at this level, the card has Cleanse and Amplify abilities. And for this battle, the Cleanse is a match winning ability.
At position 3, the last position for the battle, we chose a gold foil level 3 Hardy Stonefish.
This 1 mana card is great to fill the last mana for which we will get 1 melee damage, 1 shield, 2 hp and 1 speed. The Equal Opportunity rule set for the battle enables this card to even attack from the last spot.
So, it is more than a plain meat shield for us.
THE HIGHLIGHTS :
- Round 1:
In round 1, the Mycelic Infantry from the opponent deck took out out River Nymph but not before our River Nymph cleansed the Void Dragon at the first position with her turn.
- Round 2:
In round 2, the Hardy Stonefish from our deck and opponent's Failed Summoner gets eliminated by poison from of the Noxious Fumes rule set.
Our Void Dragon is yet to receive any damage as it continues to dodge attacks.
- Round 3:
Even in round 3 the Void Dragon did not take any damage as it dodged the attack from Mycelic Infantry whereas the Mycelic Infantry was down to it's last hp.
- Round 4:
At the very start of the round Mycelic Infantry was eliminated by the poison and we got our well deserved victory.

DID MY STRATEGY WORK?
Yes, the strategy worked out very nicely.
As mentioned earlier, the plan was to negate the speed of the opponent deck, let our River Nymph cleanse the Void Dragon and have our Void Dragon dodge attacks while the opponent deck is wiped out by the poison.
Throughout the entire battle, the opponent was unable to land any attack and it was standing at full health.
Do I like the Void Dragon? Why or why not?
Yes, Void Dragon is an excellent card at the cost of 5 mana and won me many battles. It is one of my favorite cards from Chaos Legion of Dragon splinter and I use it quite often.
Moreover, the Dragon splinter is often my go to deck because of the diversity it provides.
