THE SIZE OF CHAOS LEGION AND PREDICTIONS FOR THE GENERAL SALE
While browsing the Mav chat yesterday I came across a comment that was a bit eye-opening and I wanted to share.
The total amount of BCX printed so far for Chaos Legion has now surpassed all printed BCX for Untamed. That's crazy.
We aren't even at the general sale yet which just reinforces how massive of an expansion Chaos Legion is compared to its predecessors. Combined with the update that only 1.5M packs were sold during the bulk sale, I'm starting to lean more towards Chaos Legion packs not selling out day 1.
There will still be massive hype, and with that a lot of new pack openings that will drive card prices down further termporarily. Some think this might already be priced in but again the scope and scale of Chaos Legion is really making me believe otherwise. There may be floor prices on certain cards but overall there will be downward pressure on the market.
Regardless of what happens though, I think Splinterlands is truly in a win-win scenario. Sell out fast and the hype/fomo are very real. Sell out slow and give new players a chance to enter this game with affordable packs for purchase.
I for one will be watching very closely and will have my hand ready on the buy button. How about you?
