Do you agree that new cards make older cards cheaper?

Greetings friends!

Once #Splinterlands Alpha and Beta edition cards had very high value. I am seeing that after introduction of gems, their price reduced drastically. So, with introduction of new set of cards, old cards lose value as the newer cards are more powerful and increase winning chances.

I think it is more of a result of bear market forces. The old NFTs are rare and that carries an extra level of collector's value. They also give a bonus to FP earned. Prices will be eventually up IMHO.
