Hello everyone and welcome to the Battle Weekly Challenge. This week the challenge is with Disintegrator, a common Neutral element card with the Demoralize ability. This card belongs to the Chaos Legion edition and is part of the Starter cards, so we can use it for free.

In this particular battle we are facing a level 1 Mother Khala summoner. We are going to play on equal terms because we can only use level 1 cards. So let's see the rules, the team and the details of the battle.

Battle Rules

This is a 46 mana battle with the "Silenced Summoners" and "Reverse Speed" rules in which only Life, Death and Dragon elements are allowed.

IconNameDescription
Silenced SummonersSummoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.
Reverse SpeedMonsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
  • A trick for this ruleset is to pick monsters with 1-2 speed because they have the best chance of evading Melee and Ranged attacks and they’re going to attack first.

  • Using a summoner with no abilities or with low mana is also a good idea to preserve mana.

My Lineup

Zintar Mortalis is the leading Dark Summoner. His renown has earned him the right to have a name, which is rare among the Dark Eternal collective. As a powerful summoning wizard, Zintar is the closest thing Mortis knows to a celebrity. When facing Zintar Mortalis in a summoner’s battle, only the bravest opponents do not cower in fear.

Zintar Mortalis: In this battle the summoner doesn't matter too much as they don't give any ability or buff/debuff due to the "Silenced Summoners" rule, so I have decided to choose a low mana summoner to preserve it.

Harklaw: As a tank I decided to use Harklaw. This card is an amazing tank as he only takes half damage from melee and ranged attacks with its Shield ability. Normally the opponents use a lot of melee and ranged attack monsters when there are no suitable conditions to use magic attack monsters, so we should absorb a lot of damage.

The Gorlodon: In the second position I decided to use The Gorlodon. This card will target the enemy monster in the first position thanks to its Reach ability. It will help us to kill the enemy tank quickly. Also, its high Attack (3) and high HP (12) make it very useful as a second tank, while its low Speed (1) will help us a lot in this ruleset.

Disintegrator: The protagonist of this challenge! Disintegrator reduces the melee attack of all enemy monsters with its "Demoralize" ability. This card is a wonderful choice since the enemy player should use some melee attack monsters. In this particular battle we were able to reduce the damage of 3 enemy melee monsters by -1, which is pretty cool.

Sand Worm: I think this card is very powerful. Its high attack (5) and its high HP (5) make him a very strong monster, but the most important thing in this battle is its low Speed (1), since monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks due to the "Reverse Speed" rule.

Dhampir Stalker: This card was chosen to prevent cards that can reduce our melee attack damage. We already have a lot of monsters with melee attack in our composition, so if the opponent reduces our melee attack with cards like "Disintegrator" we can be in trouble. Therefore, I think it is a good choice to use at least one or two ranged attack cards.

Dark Ferryman: For only 3 mana this card has very good stats. I have decided to use Dark Ferryman in the last position to defend my strongest monsters from enemy monsters with the Sneak ability.

Did your strategy work?

I think my strategy worked quite well. We have used the 46 Mana Cap to greatly reduce the damage of our opponent's ranged and melee attack monsters, which allowed our monsters to absorb a lot of damage and win the battle. Also, we have used a lot of monsters with 1-2 speed to benefit as much as possible from the "Reverse Speed" rule. So I am happy with the result and the strategy I used.

Do you like the Disintegrator?

Yes, I like Disintegrator. One of the things I like most about this card is that it is Neutral, so we can use it with any element to make different strategies.

Another thing I like about this card is its great impact in battles, especially in battles with the "Up Close & Personal" rule, where only monsters with melee attack can be used. I think Disintegrator is especially good in these battles since the opponent is forced to use melee attack monsters. So we can use this card to reduce the damage of all of them!

We can also take advantage of its low speed in battles with the "Reverse Speed" rule, where monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
