Member Management Notes

First, a few words about Fray privileges (see at bottom). I entered everyone into the favored Fray when we started into the previous Brawl. I won't do that again now, because I have no way of knowing who really wants to assign their favorite without a timely note. (Nevertheless, it is still true that if you can't enter a fray on time when we start, you are welcome to ask me to do so in advance. I just don't like to promise that I will be on time myself. But it is always worth a try!)

Instead, I'll stick to the words formulated below, and for me that means:

Whoever has named a favorite (see list below) sometime before the start of a brawl (end of the auction, as mentioned below) will be given the privilege to lay claim to that fray within the first 24 hours of the preparation phase, in case someone else has assigned to the particular fray without privilege. Within the second 24 hours I will then fulfill these claims based on the list from top to bottom.
Whoever then still has not vacated such a fray himself - in order to hopefully look for another one on which no claim has been formulated - will unfortunately be removed from the ongoing brawl.

I'm already curious to see where conflicts arise, and how we can then deal with them. I myself am not free of mistakes and may even sleep through one or the other commitment. Hopefully the 24 hour time frames for completion will help with that. Ideas and comments are always welcome!

General guidelines

The score is a product of contributed DEC multiplied by contributed scrolls, in which 0 scrolls are not considered, so then the score is equal to the contributed DEC.

If all accounts are active until the end of the auction, the relevant spots are recalculated at the end of auction and the account in 18th place is removed.

If not all accounts are active, the passive account with the lowest number of scrolls of all passive accounts will be removed, if it remains passive until the end of the auction. Then no auction will take place.

There has already been at least two exception to the above rules, when there would have been removed an account with only slightly less scrolls than another, from which significantly more DEC was irregularly invested in the guild buildings over a longer period of time. Or with only being passive shortly at a lot of contributions. These cases are documented at

Privileges when brawling

There is a lot of pressure in brawling. Some players contribute a lot of DEC for guild buildings and have a hard time getting into the frays. Therefore we will also take into account our guild scores when brawling. Those who are higher in the list will get the privilege to choose a Fray against those below. However, this must be proclaimed in the guild chat BEFORE the start of the respective prep phase, so that everyone can know which frays are without privileges at the start of the prep phase. These privileges are only valid within the first 24 hours of the prep phase. The frays that are still free afterwards can be occupied, regardless of the privileges, so that no fray remains free. Further ideas and comments to this procedure welcome!

@sodom-lv, thanks for your in-guild contribution from today. From you visiting the guild today I suppose you are good with not brawling this round, because otherwise I had expected you to claim fray 2 against @eika. @eika will certainly be happy if you don't. !PIZZA is ready.

Yes, let @eika to join the brawl this time.
I have another idea about the brawl registration:

  • Top 3 player in the management table can join every brawl. With their contribution, they deserve it
  • The rest player: odd position can register for odd brawl and even position can register for even brawl.
For example: position #4/#6/#8, .. can register for brawl #38, #5/#7/#9 can register for brawl #39.

It will help all the guild member have the chance to join the brawl.
How do you think about it?

Hey @sodom-lv, I like your ideas! However, someone needed to organize those details. And I wonder what the others think about doing things like that?

Even more ideas are coming from brainstorming this. Yours look like doing some kind of a raffle. May it be a raffle on having the privilege to claim a fray, any fray? As I am not that comfortable in doing odd/even positioning. It's already a big job calculating the table every five days. It was not like that when only the last position was at stake. Now there is already way more to it. Some automation would change that. However, I'm not a developer, even though I'd love to put my finger into APIs and regular expressions. So if there is someone with developer skills to help evolve this here, I am here to become your mentee.

Certainly not a coincidence, there is one guild doing raffles and I just found out because I like !PIZZA. @thebeardflex, what do you think of all that? 😉

I liked the idea of the higher contributing members filling the spots. I am about to enter my 1st fray after about a month being new to the guild and I don't think it is fair that people who just randomly joined take those spots. Mainly because I understand that those who were before me have dedicated much more and I waited until I caught up on contributions. With that being said, if someone more dedicated to the guild wants my brawl position I will give it up but that does not work when id give up my spot and see someone less dedicated in a fray I would want.
