Share a battle: team synergy and composition

Usually when I see a leveled golden byzantine kitty I resign myself to defeat but this one happened to work out! The ruleset was Noxious Fumes (poison, every non-immune or cleansed creature takes 2 damage every round) and Stampede (Trample can trigger multiple times, so if your trampler can kill consecutive creatures with each subsequent hits and it'll continue to daisy chain until a hit doesn't kill a creature) with high mana (48).

Although fire was my focus for the daily quest I decided to go water splinter because Diemonshark goes beast mode with Enrage and Trample to take advantage of the conditions and I have access to River Nymph for a Cleanse to get rid of the Poison. Here's what the starting lineup looked like:

I tanked with Diemonshark and offtanked with Oshannus to maximize hits and then kept an immune Kinjo as an insurance last creature in case everyone else died and he managed to survive. As you can see from this battle, it's not always the most expensive cards that make the grade, team composition and synergy is the most important factor. Here I decided to go with a magic-heavy lineup, along with Axemaster who is OP with double hit and solid health, speed, and attack stats.

Splinterlands has been a fun diversion while waiting for other things to get done, thanks for making a great game!
