Well that was a very tough season. Not fun at all.

This is the first time I've every has more losses than wins. This was contributed to by having by far my longest losing streak of 7 games last night trying to get a single sneak win to complete my daily quest. It was really 9 straight losses because it was interrupted by two surrenders from opponents. The reason for this is that I got to Champion III last season and thus started in Diamond League which is super difficult these days.

My only splinter with a maxed summoner, Death, did really poorly this season which is unusual. My almost maxed Dragon splinter did way better and Fire did surprisingly well, although I only used in very specific circumstances, like Equalizer with Exploding Dwarf.

No golds or legendaries this season contributing to a particularly poor DEC tally for over 110 games.
I'm questioning whether playing Splinterlands in an appropriate investment of my time. I certainly could earn substantially more by just posting more on Hive. The question is whether it is more fun/personally rewarding than other options. Posting requires being inspired to write while playing is easier. But I hate losing so having a bad season like this does not improve my mood.
Plenty to think about.

I didn't shower myself in glory this season either (thanks for the reminder to generate a report card). It's easy to fall into habits; then the game suddenly decides to punish you for them. You learn more from losing, though.
(I've been overplaying LlamaCube, and feel a comeuppance a-comin.)
I tried, and tried to get into Champ 1. The closest I got was about ~100 points away. 3 or 4 wins. I couldn't do it. The "top end" of Diamond One was very competitive and tough.

Yes it was so tough it took me 9 losses to get a single sneak win.
I’d had some earlier surrenders on a winning streak from higher level players which had propelled me 200 points to the top end of Diamond I. Then I was crushed back down again.
It was like catching a big wave and then getting completely dumped.
I lost so many games trying to win my first quest of the new season. This one is going to be tough as well! :D
