Why SPT rewards go down every second?

Hi ,
I noticed that all spt rewarded for interesting posts go down every second.
I looked around for an explanation about how it works, but did not find any.
Someone can explain me why, and how it works?
Or link a guide about it, where is clearly written the system of reward and that thing about diminishing return every second?

Because I feel frustrated not understanding it, and I really looked around on many posts here and on the web in general for an explanation .

Maybe it is very simple to understand, but I can't get it....
