A little extra from Splinterlands winnings - Alpha and Promo similar to the current started deck cards

Alpha cards and promo cards have a distinctive feature. They earn an extra 10% on each win they were fighting in as do Gold Foil cards.

So if you earn 1 DEC or more in your fights and in your strategy and Alpha or Promo card could replace a card, then you might have to consider renting one out. Them math checks out:
1 game won with an alpha or promo card pays for the daily renting fee of 0.1 DEC of the card. And if you earn more then 1 DEC, then it's even better!

I have checked the rental market and I am bringing you the 5 lvl 1 cards, which you can consider to add to your portfolio:

Sunkai Harvester	Silversheild Warrior

The difference is one speed, the gain is 10% of DEC winning. If you play the Sunkai Harvester in your games as a meat shield, then you should definitely consider Silvershield Warrior as well.

Soul Strangler	Haunted Spider

The difference here is one speed as well, the gain is 10% of DEC winning. Soul Strangler is often used in fight to damage the enemy tank. In case the tank is not to fast this might be also a good deal. Check out also the higher levels of Haunted Spider, as on level 4 it gets poison!

Merdaali Guardian	Crustacean King

Crustacean Kind is slower by 1 and has 1 less health, But what it lacks in health he gets in shield. This change is a bit worrisome if you play against Thaddius Brood, and as Kelya Frendul also offers shield it really is not a great upgrade, unless you are sure, that magic snipe attacks are out of the picture. In some cases due to it's lower speed it might heal at a better time then Merdaali Guardian.

Lava Spider	Fire Beetle

Now we got to a superb challenge. Lava Spider and Fire Beetle have the same stats. The card with it's high heath and 3 mana cost can be used in little league rulesets, and also to secure snipe quests.
The first really noteworthy card to reconsider in my opinion:)

The best at the end:

Supply Runner	Peacebringer

The holy cards are famous for their new summoner General Sloan. A shame that a lot of the ranged cards are or too expensive or do little damage. Let's just have here the Supply Runner, who has the same stats as our alpha card Peacebringer for 6 mana instead of 4. I think this is a bargain! This card is on the more expensive side currently at 0.7 DEC / day, but the added value is well worth it.

There are other great alpha cards, which could improve your team, like Silvershield Knight, Pirate Captain, a low mana card for those snipe quest, Clay Golem to provide some safety against magic teams.
