introduction and strategy guide for Disintegrator + SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge!
I was unsure if I would write a post this week, but after todays fight with disintegrator I could not stay silent, so let's get the typewriter out!
Disintegrator
Overview
I remember that Disintegrator was a card revealed by Nate on one of the Town Halls before Chaos legion was released. I thought about the whole visuals of Splinterlands as going into an extremely dark and unpleasant direction... It seems I got used to it by now :D
Disintegrator is a card to keep in mind as it has demotivate already on level one and is a neutral card. So if you believe your enemy will use melee attacks, it is a go to card. On level 5 it gets trample, on level 8 knock out and level 10 retaliate. I think from all these retaliate is the second best skill it gets, though on max level it still only has 3 damage in total.
If you expect a melee fight (may the ruleset favor you), then the best summoners would be:
All of these summoners lower the melee attack of the enemy, which makes this card ideal.
To utilize demoralize even more you should use cards with shield. For Bronze these cards in the modern format are:
As the attack of the enemy is lowered, cards with Torn can be also very effective, so keep a look out for Venari Knifer, Cursed Windeku, Djinn Chvala or even better Mylor Crowling!
But be aware, if your enemy is preferring magic in his games, then this card is usually useless!
Which rulesets favor this card the most?
Icon | Ruleset | Reason |
---|---|---|
Melee Mayhem | As the enemy uses often a lot of melee heavy hitters in these games | |
Super Sneak | Same as above, but the attacks are targeting the back line, where a card with shield is very useful | |
Up Close & Personal | In these matches Disintegrator is a must, as with a creature with shield ability it might nullify a large amount of attacks |
Now lets look into the strategy, why I wrote this article.
Now lets check out a fight.
Ruleset:
- 24 Mana
- Water, Death and Dragon allowed
- Up Close & personal ruleset
In this fight I have really utilized the Disintegrator and what I was really happy with Crypt Beetle as well. While Djinn Chvala killed one card after the other in the front line, Crypt Beetle shielded all attacks from the back. Disitegrator helped immensely by lowering the attack strength of Silent Sha-Vi to 1. As the Crypt Beetle has also a very low health, it was then also targeted by the Parasitic Growth. I'm very proud of my strategy here.
