Hello,

so I have been playing Splinterland for some time now and even though I have a decent Silver-level deck, I still think that I am not as good at the game as I could be. I am annoyed with my multiple losses to bots, in situations, I should be able to win.

I hope to start this new series to gather my thoughts to help me to improve my game and maybe to receive a few hints on what I am doing wrong. I also hope that the record of my journey might help other players with theirs, at least they will know what mistakes they should avoid.

As this is a new series I am not sure what format it should have so there are a lot of places to change and improve.

The Long-term goal

In the long term, I hope to be able to reach the Gold league. There are a few things which prevent me from reaching this goal:

• Lack of power. I currently hold cards for 28k CP on my main account. I do hold a secondary account, with another 32k CP, which is used to generate DEC by renting cards. The reason for that is that I do play with 3 colours (red, blue and green) mainly and most of my cards were not used. As a result, I am getting around 200-300 DEC per day. This allows me to buy a new gold card every few days.

• Lack of card levels. This problem is kind of connected to the first one. By raising the card's level I will raise my Power as well. The biggest problem for it is the cost, but I hope that my renting account and pools will provide resourcesfor that.

• Lack of skill. This might be the most difficult obstacle, as I am not sure how I can improve on this one. There is a nice https://splintertools.io/ but I still need to learn on how to use it properly.

Short-term goal(s)

With a recent change to the game, that is Adjust Rewards Based on Card Level I have noticed that my focus points earning is very low and slow. The situation is forcing me to try to improve my main and frequently used cards so I can be back to earning a decent amount of Focus chests.

The plan for the next week is to identify the cards I am using and which I need to upgrade and to start buying the missing parts. I will start with my best dec that is blue/water and will move to gree/eart or red/fire after that. I think I will need to save my progress somehow so I can report it in here.
