# So many rewards! - Splinter Stats Season 57 Report Card

@aussieninja

What a dramatic season this was!

For most of the season I think I'm able to cruise along fairly nicely winning just slightly more than I'm losing... but the last couple of days of the season I'm filled with so much regret that I didn't try to max out every summoner before prices went absolutely bonkers.

My advice to new players is that if you're going to buy cards, try to get a huge range of summoners first. I would say that a huge portion of my losses come from my opponent having a summoner advantage over me.

I have most of the middle range summoners (mostly the Beta edition ones to be honest) and while this gives me the most flexibility (not too expensive mana-wise, but bring some additional attributes to the battles) it does mean I do get beaten around a lot by the more expensive (both financially and in mana) summoners.

I honestly can't wait for Chaos Legion to come out so that I can get some legendary summoners at (hopefully) a much cheaper price.

The highlight of my season was this...

photo_2021-09-15_09-21-32.jpg

I've played Aggroed a couple of times before and been totally decimated... so this was a nice little win with about 30 minutes left of the season. Finish on a high!

So believe it or not... but I finished this season 1 ranking point lower than last season. I finished at 4060 in Season 56. I made a run for Champion League II in the last 30 minutes of the season but just could not get it over the line.

The new rewards cards are just so exciting!

For the first time ever, I actually bought some quest potions for the last 2 days of the season when the new reward cards were released... and I got a Gold Foil Djinn Chwala (worth around $169 USD) which I was absolutely rapt with... what an incredible introduction to the new cards.

There are some I am very, very excited about, that should fit into my playing decks nicely.

The one I'm most excited about is Djinn Oshannus who will fit into my Magic-heavy Water deck very nicely, especially with his high speed.

Harklaw in the Death Splinter looks like he'll be amazing in those low speed battles... especially if Stun or Poison is in play.

I'm 100% going to max out Twilight Basilisk for the Stun ruleset... absolutely essential.

Looking through the reward cards, there aren't any that fill any particular gaps I feel I have... so I'm extremely curious to see when and how they pop up in games.

I'm extremely lazy with my rentals and don't adjust the prices at all... I tend to have only a quarter rented for most of the season... and then in the last day or two I literally have 100% of my rental cards rented. It's astonishing.

I honestly have way more cards that I can rent out... and while I'd really love the additional DEC flowing in, I'm just super worried that I suddenly need a card I rarely use for a particular ruleset. I probably should get over it, especially if I'm not playing tournaments anytime soon.

I'll need to keep all my Untamed cards available for brawls (I tend to get placed in the 5th Fray (Untamed up to level 3)) but I have a stack of gold cards I never use because I have much higher non-gold versions. I really need to sit down and put them up for rent.

I'm still very much focused on getting the highest airdrop points I can above all else. This means I rarely spend my DEC in order to keep that 1:1 ratio. I have no real issue with this though, it hopefully means I'll have a good stash to spend on the new Chaos Legion edition when it comes out... which will likely be terrible for my airdrop points (especially with the cards having such a low DEC burn rate) but I'll be needing those new summoners yo.

While I really don't feel like my collection is all that competitive at the moment, I'm still very much enjoying Splinterlands right now. The thrill of getting good reward cards is extreme... and the earning potential of things like:

Putting DEC in the liquidity pools -> Claim additional bonus DEC + higher SPS airdrop points means that I think I'm earning on top of earning... it's magical (I think, I'm terrible at math).

Hope you all had a great season!

I do the same. The only way I spend DEC is if I sell a card and then use that DEC to purchase another card.

Yeah, it's a little bit of a shame because buying cards with the DEC coming in was such a fun part of the game for me.... but I can totally resume that funness once the airdrop finishes.

Things will be interesting with Chaos Legion 👍

I'm torn between selling DEC for BUSD vs holding or adding to pools.

Hello. With the introduction of the new Chaos Legion style Rewards Cards, the Report Card didn't have the adjusted burn rates adjusted. Here is your updated rewards summary:

Ah! Thank you! Super kind of you to add that in... you do amazing work!

What would you do with the BUSD?
I'm pretty much loving the dual nature of adding DEC to the liquidity pools... it helps your SPS airdrops, and you get bonus DEC. The only downside is that if you add or subtract from the pools your bonus percentage drops right down. So I try not to mess with it too much.

Which pool are you in? Bonus percentages sound familiar, but I can't recall exactly.

I see the DEC:BUSD pools as a hedge against value change. With BUSD hanging $1 solid, it takes some of the risk out, but also reward.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, DEC has to go down right? Won't they pretty much print more to get it back down to 1000 DEC = $1?

I'm in the ETH-DEC and DAI-DEC pools on Uniswap... that's where I'm getting the bonuses from.

Yeah, I think as airdrop end approaches it'll drop. Hard to predict what Chaos Legion will do though - people might buy packs with DEC and keep it above peg.

Considering the increase in players though, hard to guess whether Land or some other sink keeps the price higher in the future. It's a toss up between keeping supply and not overprinting.
