Splinterlands - My Giant Roc has been upgraded to Level 8

A few weeks back I upgraded my Gaint Roc to level 7. Yesterday again I thought why not update it even further to make it Level 8. My summoner is at Level 6 now and it supports Level 8 monsters. That is one of the main reasons why I wanted to upgrade my Giant Roc to Level 8 as I use this card frequently in the battles. I guess this is a kind of costly investment but I'm hoping to get this back by playing a few games and staying active in the game.

I guess the Giant Roc is not upgrading to Level 9 anytime soon because that will be madness, I guess it will be worth to spend some money in upgrading other cards as well. It will be enough to play with the current Level of Giant Roc. Maybe in the future, if my summoner goes to higher level and starts supporting higher level monsters, I would consider upgrading this card again.

I realized that for the past few months, I have been using my income from posts completely on upgrading cards in splinterlands game and making some purchases. This is all with the thought that this game will be a great investment for the future.

I purchased these cards with DEC instead of STEEM or SBD. I guess it is kind of okay to purchase cards using my existing DEC balance instead of STEEM or SBD. I understand that the splinterlands team is asking us to save DEC for the new upgrades that are going to come in the game. But I guess, we should be able to purchase or get ready for that at a later time and continue to spend DEC on purchases. This is absolutely my personal opinion. If you think it is not a good idea to purchase anything with DEC, please go ahead with what your mind says.

My profile value is slowly increasing after all the card purchases that I make from the market. After seeing the new upgrades from Splinterlands and the roadmap for the future, I believe it is definitely a great investment to make. I hope there will soon be more people joining the game and the market cap will increase. Even today this game is considered to be one of the highly played blockchain games. If the team can come up with a better User interface, I guess there will be no other game to beat this. It is all because the concept is super cool in this game.
