Daily grind ends with frustration and...

Hello fellow inhabitants of Splinterlands,

after a long day of work and a walk around the block to freshen my mind, I was finally able to come to my beloved splinterlands and do my daily quests.

After yesterday's falling short of getting to Gold I by 34 points and ending up demoting to Gold II (the quest did me no good in ranks, but i liked the rewards wink), i wanted to fight back and take a peak at Gold I again. It was even my beloved earth splinter, but i came to realize that just Llama and Kron aren't enought in Gold. It might get you there, but once you are there you need a proper leveled summoner and also high level monsters. Unluckily, since i started in August i struggle to have either of those, besides the water deck i rented for this season (800 DEC/day for those cards, but i manage to rent out my investments made during these times of dip, so i earn around 500 DEC/day, which leaves me with more or less 300 DEC/day to have fun in the gold league and hunt those reward chests).

After struggling with my wins and even falling down to Gold III with being short again of 40 rating to Gold II, i was about to finally make use of my rented cards, get back into Gold II and claim my chests and sit in a good position for further climbing tomorrow. It just didn't happen... 5-10 in my next 15 games made me realize it was time to call it a day with my capture rate sitting at 78% and opening some chests in good hope to find something that lifts my mood again (I know, I shouldn't be salty about those losses as the other players really had good decks and I saw some nice combinations of cards aswell - it's still a learning journey for me, so I took it with a grain of salt).

So here we go:

After the first 4 chests, I was a happy Splinterlander again and I'm writing here to remind you - but also myself - don't be overeager with your ambitions. As a pretty new player I learn every day and my deck needs to improve by time and not by rushing into things. Today I might have lost rating and more games that I would have liked to, but I came out way above average with the rewards and by continuing the daily grind, which besides some defeats really makes fun but is also part of the game I want to make a long way in this game. (I believe so much in Splinterlands, that i bought some SPS with my BNB-Stack :D)

Rome wasn't build in a day and so is no deck in Splinterlands. So enjoy the ride :)

So far, I wish you the best of the best and the happiest of the happiest. See you in the battles and splintertalk!
