Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Stun

Stats

I got mine at level 3 so it has an extra damage and a extra health. I notice writing these blogs that i can/need to upgrade lots of monster. I got my summoner (Obsidian)on lvl 4 and only upgraded the Goblin Psychic.

I need to reserve some capital to upgrade my deck this won't done in a single investment. This what i need to invest at the moment to max out my silver chaos deck:

Strategy

image.png

Strategy in this battle will be slow monters and earth has some nice slow monsters. I often pick earth in slow rule set. Also because magic is ignored in the miss change calculation it's only for ranged and melee, except when ability phase is used.

Rulesets

Reverse speed
Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks

I still find it hard to calculate what and how it is working in combination with dodge and flying and slow ability.

Miss chances
Flying 25%
Dodge 25%
Blind 15%
Speed 10% each level of difference

If you are using a monters with the slow ability you will be helping the opponent.
Eg:
If your monster has 1 speed and your opponent has a 5 speed monster. Normal rule set it will mean you have a 40% chance to miss your opponent.

In the reverse speed rule set now your opponent has a 40% chance to miss.
If you are using a monster with the slow ability your opponent speed will become 4 and then our opponent will have only 30% chance to miss.

Combine this with the dodge, so 1 speed monster with dodge against a 5 speed monster.
In normal mode the 1 speed monster will hit last and the 5 speed monster has a 25% (only the dodge) chance to miss. The 1 speed monster will have a 40% chance to miss.
In reverse mode the 1 speed monster will hit first and the 5 speed monster has a 40%+25%=65% chance to miss. And the 1 speed monster will always hit it because of the lower speed than 5 (unsure about this)???

If you use monsters with flying and dodge and with a speed difference of 5 you will have 100% chance that you opponent misses.
That is the theorie, if i missed or have something wrong please let me known in a comment below:)

The Lineup

Summoner

CardReason
My second best splinter i like the heal monsters and the taunt monsters and I often play a double (or in wild a triple) heal option. Also magic is very strong i.m.o. and hard to counter.

Hill Giant (lvl 3 GF):
Star of this week. As in the beginning i often chose this when there is a low mana cap. This battle is a medium mana cap, there is a risk that the hill giant is killed quickly. but because of the 1 speed it will probable be one of the first to attack.

Fungus Fiend (lvl 1):
Meat shield to protect my healer from any opportunity monster.

Regal Peryton (lvl 3):
If it get in front it has a highe speed, in this battle a disadvantage could have better chosen
Queen Mycelia with a much lower speed.
But it still has flying which counter the speed difference a bit.

Goblin Psychic (lvl 5):
Absolute one of my favorite monster heal and affliction very strong 3 damage and with the slow rules set also great with 1 speed.

Khmer Princess (lvl 1):
Low cost mana monster i would love to have her up to level 4 but for now to expensive ~180$
Then see will get heal also.

Djinn Biljka (lvl 2):
Nice to use camouflage, so it cannot be attack until it is in the first position.
In combination obsidian it will do 3 damage every round until it get into the front then it is quickly over.

Very strange setup of my opponent which makes me believe we might have take it up against a bot?
Swiftness and slow in a reversed speed ruleset why?

Some analyse
image.png
The player does not own a archmage token so that is not it

image.png
hhmm also does not own any cards

image.png
So all cards are rented. IMO if you chose to rent cards and play manually it probably would have chosen a better setup. because if you know how to rent you probably also know how to play the game. So i think this is a bot with auto rental.
Not sure which bot i would like to find out.
Any one reading this and known how to analyse further which bot a user uses, please leave a comment below.

My opinion of bots:
I got a bit of a hate love relation with bots.

Some i like for instance to learn from with what setup it wins and why. And if you are still able to outsmart a bot because it implemented in such a matter it's get predictable, based on your own battles. But when you are not able to win anymore as a human player because for example with machine learning and statistic the bot always chooses the high percentage win change it might become frustrating to play the game. IMO we are not there yet or will ever be there, when the game has enough variables to counter the opponent in different matters. We as humans can be unpredictable, until the bots learns that also 😕.

Some I dislike bot when it comes to hijacking all market purchasing and renting system and scooping al the rewards with huge bot farms it will get the fun out of the game for human player imho.

Concluding i do not hate bots but probably more the huge bot farms hijacking large quantities of rewards. And even that i might not mind if i as human player can progress "fast" enough so its enjoyable and not a boring grind.

On the other hand huge compliment to splinterlands they implemented at least way where 24/7 play time is not rewarded with the ECR mechanisme. That is one of the things i hated on other games. where player that have no other life (or bots) just played and played leaving it impossible to progress as a "normal/more casual" player with a daytime job and other hobbies.

Important is that i think the team is aware of this matter and will continue enable features where bots needs to adjust too or just not able to get a good ROI on. This is a constant battle and balance that need to be monitored.

Lets continue on the battle report shall we 😂

It is a pretty even match but i think i'm in favor of this match, because of the higher health monsters and the healer

Round 1:

In this round already al lot happened. Unfortunately my hill giant is dead but it got healed and absorbed some nice damage.
Venari knifer is also killed, which is good because the thorns are hurting. And Brownie is also dead

Round 2:
image.png
Did not expect this. This was a very fast round only one opponent left. My Fungus Fiend served me well as a meat shield and got healed one by my Goblin Psychic.

Round 3:

Win 😁

Conclusion

Strategy worked! For myself analysed again how the speed differential worked.

One big takeaway after all analyses: don't forget miss chance only applies to melee and range so it might be wise to use magic monsters in a slow rule set.

That's all for this week hope you enjoyed reading this battle report. See you all on the battle field
