Intro

SPS Airdrop has ended. Some words on what i earned and what my experience was during the airdrop.

A Little bit more:
My SPS airdrop journey started in Nov-2021. The SPS airdrop was already on its way. First I toughed I missed the boat there.

Nevertheless I started Splinterlands for the game and continued to do that. Still enjoying the game leveling up "slowly" progressing, the higher you get the more fun/challenging it becomes. My account is now just in Gold III, for 3 days now. For me it's getting tough now in Gold III (modern).
I still think it is a hard and steep learning curve for new players. That is holding back the casual player i.m.o. Many things to learn the game/crypto/hive/economics of all tokens. Not necessary but still overwhelming when you just start out. Even tough splinterlands made it a lot easier, me as an player I want to understand it to make decisions in what to buy/hold or sell. It's not that simple just buy-in and play :). When willing to learn and playing a lot i found it now more enjoyable as Heartstone.

My strategy:
Investing, every month ~100$ and reinvesting every SPS/DEC/Hive I earned by playing/blogging or via the airdrop spending it back in the game. I have not sold a single card yet. I'm not that keen in card flipping, not my style.

Goals

My goal for the airdrop SPS was just to gain and put it in a liquidity pool to gain more SPS.
Along the way i shifted the strategy a bit because i wanted to play tournaments.
therefor I staked 2500 SPS. You can see clearly in the next graph when that moment was. From that point I continued my strategy from 0 again. At the end I did not have more DEC to put into the pool, because of card purchases, therefor the curve flattened out at the end.

A total of 3277.823 SPS has been awarded, that is more than expected.
even with the bear market it currently still worth ~180$ just by playing and enjoying the game. I must say my overal investment is approximately invested: 1750$ current value including airdrop: 1400$
without the airdrop i would be around 1200$. Hopefully the overal bear market is over soon. It always feels much more comfortabel when you are in the green.

I currently staked 2500 SPS to be able to play some nice tournaments.
The rest is liquid, waiting for the rift-watchers edition. I think I will spend it on card packs then.

What is next

We will se what the future brings I still see some nice tournaments that i cannot join because of the requested staked SPS is double of what i currently got.
When my deck is good enough to play in Gold I, and this will take a while, I will probably stake more SPS. This is my plan for now, with all the constant changes in the game and economics we will see what happens and try to adapt to that.
