Intro

I was waiting for this release. To only play against persons/bots that also only have the latest edition of cards chaos/untamed/dice and their appropriatie rewards cards.
When the release was there I directly started playing modern format because I only got chaos legion cards and a few untamed cards, mostly the starter cards and only on level 1.
At first I toughed this should be more equal and I will win more games because my cards are all modern focused.

Lets dive into my experience of the last week.

DEC Rewards playing modern vs wild

At the start of the season you are getting much more DEC in modern then wild.

Chest Rewards

In modern I struggled to get 2 or 3 loot chest. I like to open chest and collecting cards. I'm less interesting about the DEC. For me DEC rewards are not giving me the same satisfying feeling of progressing. Therefor i switched back to wild format.

Last day i earned again the normal amount of loot chest in silver II. The amount I'm used to. This day it was water splinter with a rental of Alric Stormbringer 😍 would love to own him. Currently a bit expensive for mee 68$ for 1 bcx and i need/want at least a level 3 so 5 bcx 😱.

For my alt account which only have level 1 starter cards and summoners I was used to play in bronze I. Now i'm struggling to get there in modern and wild. So i'm not sure what is happening there.

Start of the season

At the start of the season I was drop back again in bronze. This time in modern it was really hard getting back at Silver II. At few moments even really frustrating.

Reasons why modern is harder IMO (At this moment)

1. Bots are not adjusted (yet) they now start to also play in modern but i think the most stay in wild for now. They need to adjust code to play a certain format. I hope there will be overview like at peakmonsters how many battles are played in which format.
   

2. So Assume more real player currently in modern and they spot better your weaknesses and possible counter setups i.m.o.

3. Real players have in silver also a real silver decks. Where in wild I often face level 1 or level 2 summoners. In modern I only see players with level 4 summoners. Sometimes a level 2 or 3.

4. Real players that are playing modern also have often very nice untamed summoners and leveled untamed monsters. This makes it very hard if your opponent has the benefit to chose multiple counter strategies.

What is next

Current season I will stick to wild format until i counter lots of alpha and beta cards. Or if the bots are moving towards modern i might also switch. In the end it will be a constant fiddling which format to play. I'm very curious what this all does to the season end rewards, will I still be able to get around 55 silver chests.
I hope in the future I can play easily in modern because the CP will allow me to play gold III. But for now because i'm struggling in Silver II i will not survive in gold :(
