Splinterlands should allow buying cards with SPS and SPT
Splinterlands is growing and expanding the use cases for the ingame cryptocurrencies giving them more value. Today I was exploring the ingame market and was looking for what undervalued cards I could acquire as a longer-term investment. And I must confess that I was surprised that you can buy cards from the internal market only with DEC and Credits.
We are all being airdropped Splintershards (SPS) for various assets that we hold in the game and we grow quite a nice balance out of it. We can stake it to get some ~40% which is decreased due to the big amount of SPS that continues to be staked, but we should be able to trade it also for other game investments. So my proposal is to add SPS as a Buy option for cards.
Considering that this is an open market and these assets are sold by players, we shouldn't have many limitations in regard to accepted cryptocurrencies. And to top that, I would like to see also the ability to use SPT in-game that we are waiting for quite a time. This will give more value and extend the use cases for Splinterlands related cryptocurrencies which should be beneficial for the entire ecosystem.
Would love to see your opinion in this regard and maybe more ideas around this subject.

SPS or I bought cards last time with my Visa. I'm not going to be buying vouchers to purchase cards, so if they have enough demand to sell them that way, good for them.
Otherwise, I'll wait and buy them with my visa or other accepted currency.

Using FIAT is good as long as the crypto market keeps on growing or thinking of a long investment. But if you don't to pour money into the game and you have the daily SPS airdrops, it would be easier to have the option to consume those tokens one way or the other.

The next best thing you can do is convert SPS to credits. Also, your post made me realize the price of doctor blight is going back up again. Was hoping for it to reach my price point xD
Right on that and glad to see Doctor Blight get again traction. I believe that on the long term due to its scarcity it will pay off and become a strong card.

It would be better if it was a direct purchase with SPS. Currently, it is possible to exchange the SPS you have in the game for credits.
Credit is only valid for direct purchases. That is, the credit cannot be used while bidding. Similarly, payment to players selling cards is made in DEC.
The option to buy with more than one coin can be added, but I guess it can be with the logic of automatic exchange. In other words, there will be no difference, but it will be possible with a single transaction instead of 2 transactions.

Yeah, can go through Credits, but why have to do multiple actions for a simple thing? Usability wise we need those options.

Like other people have said, you can convert SPS into credits but I don't think SPT added yet though. So I think having SPT being added to the credit list wouldn't be that bad either.
Do you think either should have a discount or do you just want that option?

Add new options for ease of it. That was my first thought as this way it encourages trading by getting faster into the action.

I agree and I heard a few things in the cryptomaniacs that came out today. Apparently the CTP community tried to shill HivePay (which would allow you to accept Hive Engine tokens) but they decided to make their own internal system. So I don't know if it's difficult to add or not.
