Splinterlands, Traveling and Relocation

I like visiting other cities but I absolutely hate the trips. Today's trip from Kaduna to Abuja was nothing short of tedious, stressing me on both a physical and mental level.

The route between the two states has been riddled with security issues and today, I also found out that the security challenge is compounded by a fucked up road.

There's barely any service along the road, so I didn't even bother keeping up with hive and Twitter stuff. It's not like I would even be able to because of the palpable apprehension from being in one of the most notorious travelling routes in Nigeria.

In any case, a couple of my friends have used that route in recent times, so I knew we'd be fine.

Back to Splinterlands

I've not played ranked battles in a long time, and I have to say, I really miss the feeling. I've also not been participating in guild brawls which also sucks and is something I totally miss.

I decided to move all my assets into rentals and things have been good so far. In the last 24 hours, I've already gained upwards of 500 DEC from rentals and things are looking up.

Yesterday, I learned that there were simpler ways to manage my rentals that would have saved me the stress of selecting prices and generally setting up my rental store in Splinterlands.

Despite setting up shop manually, I intend to try out the available 3rd party applications that could improve the experience. It'll be pretty awesome if I manage to squeeze out even more value from my deck.

Opened more packs

I recently opened over 20 packs and managed to find only one legendary inside. I'm not going to lie, it was such a horrible feeling.

So I've decided I'll not be buying any other Chaos Legion packs until future notice. The pace of pack sales combined with the current state of the crypto market doesn't really motivate me to invest further.

Chaos Legion monsters have also performed poorly in the Splinterlands market. This is why I don't see myself buying packs but at the same time, the state of the market also means that I will be able to easily upgrade specific monsters in my deck rather than place my hopes in packs.

As for Rift Watchers gems, I think I will most likely not be getting the airdropped monsters because of the number of packs I managed to buy. At some point, I'll probably buy more gems but that's definitely not right now as funds have to be focused on something else.

Anyway, for now at least, my focus is on growing funds for our relocation. We're making real progress and our current visit to Abuja is even towards the plan. All things being equal, we'll make it by January of this year. Fingers crossed.

Chaos legion pack is not bad but is just too much and it will take some time before we benefits fully from it

Shit I fat fingered that part. I was really exhausted. I wanted to say December of this year or latest, January of next year.

Awesome to hear man!

Going there will be so much easier from a language/cultural perspective than say Portugal which you had previously talked about.

I'll keep following your progress :)

Thanks mate, yeah. I still harbour dreams of moving to Portugal later in the future. I'll like to maybe buy a house there and live out my days in a quiet little village
