Splinterlands - My road to 1k rating

Today I will share with you my latest experiences with SPLINTERLANDS and my road towards evolution in the game and 1000 rating

After being locked in a range of 400-700 rating, without being able to raise my rating level beyond this point, but also not visiting lower levels of rating, I understood that it was time to evolve in the game.

Therefore, talking to more experienced players, reading tips and strategies on websites and watching videos on the internet, I convinced myself that it was necessary to visit the market and rent some cards, spending the hard-earned DEC's that I had accumulated in the last few days.

Once inside the market, which is done by clicking on the "market" option in the upper left corner of your game screen, several cards are already available for viewing, buying and renting on the home screen.

However, to make the search easier, not least because not all cards are likely to be used in the bronza league, we have to apply filters and reduce the amount of options.

For the lessons I took from my experienced colleagues, websites and youtube videos, I focused my research on summoners and earth element cards, which, from what I learned, would make a big difference in bronze league.

And, to complete my path towards 1000 rating I rented the following cards:

Almost everyone in the game certainly knows Mynor Crowling with his abilities and his characteristics.

But it cannot be said enough that this earth summoner will help you a lot to achieve a winning streak, at least in the bronze league, and thereby raise your rating.

Mylus' default ability is to grant "Thorns" to all monsters in your deck at the start of battle.

This ability, for those who don't know, allows damage to be "reflected" to the enemy monster that attacked you with melle damage,

In other words, even if it is not your card's moment of attack, you can do damage to enemy monsters.

In the bronze league I honestly haven't seen any cards so far that possess this ability, which makes Mynor Crowling even more of a game chancer, as all of your cards will be graced with such an ability.

This ability, combined with a tank with plenty of life, will give you a battle that is already well underway and almost certain to win.

I rented Mylor Crowling for two days for the daily rate of 19.75 DEC

The second card I tried to rent after finding a "cheap" Mylus to rent was the "Wood Nymph".

This card has a standard "tank heal" ability, which means that each round it restores a portion of the life of your monster in first position.

The rental price of Wood Nymph is much lower than that of Mylus, and can easily be found in the range of 0.50 to 1.00 DEC daily rental.

This card was very useful in battles with high mana cap and especially against water element teams that usually attack with magic damage and only the card in the first position.

Wood Nymph's speed and damage are low, as well as her life of only 2, so she can be an easy victim, causing you to lose the "tank heal" ability, which is what really interests this card.

The third and last card I rented in an attempt to raise my rating to 1000 was Centauri Mage.

Centauri Mage has by default the ability to "return fire", with this ability Centauri, when attacking by ranged attacks, deals reduced automatic damage to the monsters that attacked it.

One of the positive points of Centauri Mage is also her 9 life which, combined with Wood Nymph's tank heal, makes your team strong and very durable, resisting a series of rounds of enemy attacks.

Another differential is also the 3 attack speed, which proves to be reasonable, and although its damage is magical, it is really low.

Anyway, although centauri Mage is a really good card, having seen several positive reviews about it, and I have rented it, I can say that it did not prove to be fully useful for my card set, because instead of centauri mage, I ended up using "Unicorn Mustang" more often.

Yes, this is a very good tanker.

The "unicorn Mustang" has a good attack speed, good damage, and above all, plenty of life to withstand a lot of attacks.

Its default skill is "void" which reduces magic damage caused by enemy monsters.

Unicorn Mustang, when used in conjunction with Mylor Crowling, proves to be an extremely strong and powerful card, because its standard ability causes magic damage to be reduced, causing it little damage each round, and when attacked by melee damage, it reflects part of the damage to enemy monsters thanks to the Thorns ability, causing damage to enemies even when it's not their turn to attack.

Also, when it is possible to use Wood Nymph and its tank heal ability, Unicorm Mustang becomes almost indestructible.

I didn't need to rent Unicorn Mustang, I already owned it.

Well, once completed the rental of cards on the market, and having formed my team as presented above, I have to confess that raising the rating towards 1000 did not prove to be very difficult.

The skills of the cards proved to be extremely useful and facilitated the evolution, having achieved a series of consecutive victories that made me evolve to the 1000 rating:

What I can say my dear friends is that, as I have said in other posts, studying the cards, the skills and the formation of decks prove to be useful and facilitate the evolution in the game.

Now, with new adventures coming, I am in the studies towards new rating levels, especially in face of the challenges that the new leagues present.
