Cool thanks for the reply @brybro27 ... funnily enough , first thing I did after I posted was to go check that out haha. Probably should have did that first before I posted :).

For each airdrop, there will be a minimum amount required to get a guaranteed airdrop
The amount required is announced before airdrop is dropped
Amount changes per airdrop and what rarity the card is
Legendaries require a higher amount, epics require less

The above part added a bit of confusion. Especially the line about the amount changes per airdrop.

Anyways , the question now is : if one buys 750 packs , which should equal 15 promo cards ... do you get 15 copies of the first promo card or are you getting all 15 promo cards?

I would assume it's the latter , but hey ... ya never know ...

Buying 750 packs during the pre-sale will get you at least 15 (1 BCX) of the exclusive promo card.

After this exclusive promo card and pre-sale, there will be 13 other airdrops that won't stop until a new milestone is achieved when selling out Chaos Legion packs. My guess is each milestone will be 1M more packs sold.

So when each milestone is reached, an airdrop will occur. The airdrop will work very similar to the promo card airdrop, however, the guaranteed amount of packs required will increase quite a bit (I'm guessing around 300-400 first airdrop).

After the first airdrop, the subsequent airdrops will always increase in guaranteed amount required as all packs bought since the pre-sale count towards these airdrops.

So if you buy 750 packs during the pre-sale, those 750 packs will count through all 13 airdrops. That is why buying early in pre-sale is pretty significant as you will get a chance for all airdrops through the public sale.

Thanks for the reply and clearing that up ... I've gone and listened to the AMA where they had mentioned about the Packs and Promo cards ... and unfortunately I've become less sure about some other things now ... and was hoping you could help clear those up also....

Sorry about being a pain with all the questions ... I know these things have probably been asked a thousand times already ... ... so apologies for asking again ...

And from what I understand at the moment (which seems to be very little at this point) :

1 - The buyer of the packs(through the shop only) gets the airdrop benefits correct?

2 - One does not have to own the packs , only to have purchased the packs to get the airdrops correct?

3 - So if the above is correct , I can sell the packs I've purchased and still get the airdrops correct?

4 - The promo cards being 'airdrops' would suggest that they are separate from the packs ... Meaning you don't need to open a pack to get a promo card ... or is that not the case?

5 - Or are the Promo cards both airdrops and in packs ... meaning you have a chance of getting them in packs when you open them?

6 - And does this apply to the 13 future airdrops? ... Meaning as long as one has purchased the required number of packs (for the future airdrops) you will get a promo card without having to own and open the pack?

The reason I am asking is because during the AMA , I think it was Matt speaking , explaining about the algorithm making sure you get a promo card for each 50 packs ... going on to say that if you opened the 50 packs and didn't get a promo card the algorithm would make sure at least one of those cards is a promo card ...

Unfortunately this is part of what is confusing me ... from the above statement it sounds like you have to open the packs to get the promo cards ... (I am assuming that that is not correct) , but at this point I really have no idea ....

I am assuming here that Matt was talking about the chances of getting a promo card when opening a pack and not the airdrops .... or am I totally wrong here?

It would be much appreciated if you can clear that up?
Thanks again for taking the time to reply to these 🙂

1,2,3,4 - Yes
5 - The promo card is exclusive and will only be airdropped to those who bought pre-sale packs. So this card will not appear in packs.
6 - The future 13 cards will be airdropped in a similar fashion (packs requirements for a guaranteed airdrop will vary depending on card rarity). The difference is that these cards will be available in packs from the moment they are introduced.

Not sure exactly what you were referring to during the AMA. If you can find it in the recording please let me know the timestamp.

Hey @danielsaori , thanks for the reply.

I think it was about here

But yeah , you kinda just answered it there. That the future 13 cards are going to be in the packs , Which would mean for those 13 you would have to buy packs and open them to get one. Which I guess is what Matt is talking about there.

It sounds like you are still mixing up a few things.
The airdrop basically works the same for all 14 cards. As soon as another 1M packs have been sold a new airdrop will take place. Any packs purchased up until that point will give you a chance to get a card via the airdrop.

It's just that the 1st Promo card can ONLY be collected from the airdrop, it will not be available as a random card in any packs. For the other 13 cards, they will also be available in packs as soon as they are released.

What I think Matt was referring to is a theoretical chance that the algorithm is not picking you in the airdrop even though you reached the guaranteed threshold. If that's the case, the system will still correct it and give you your guaranteed drop.
