Angkor Wat, City of Temples
Just a short sharing on a trip to the magnificent Angkor Wat a couple of years ago. Located in northwest Cambodia, is the largest religious structure in the form of a temple complex in the world by land area, measuring about 401 acres. Usually swarming with people, i managed to take this magnificent shot of the inner temple after camping out for sometime.
Beautiful ancient structures built at the height of the Khmer Empire which is still standing till this day. The interior of the buildings are cooling despite the South East Asian heat and humidity. Lots of tourist too maybe popularized by Tomb Raider.
Super popular area as this scene appeared in the Angelina Jolie's version of Tomb Raider.
Cant remember but i believe you can rent horses here to explore the vast compound of Angkor Wat.
