Here's my 19th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish.

I've joined the Pizza 2 Guild over at the PIZZA DISCORD and was introduced to the world of Guild Brawls in Splinterlands. It has been an interesting experience to say the least. 🎉🥳🎊
Guild Brawls are generally the same as Battles, but with some minor tweaks (of which I'll save for another day). Lets get right down to business as I analyze my brawls. 🧐⚔️🛡️

I gave the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ another shot again this week. This would be my second attempt at taking part in an all Gold Foil Fray for the Guild. Hopefully I'd have done better than my previous attempt which was a 0-2 score against me overall.

My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that NONE of the Gold frays have been filled in the past few weeks (months?). Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall.

With that said, lets get down to a review of my battles, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

WON.

This is a positive start! It also marks my first ever victory in a Gold Fray for Guild Brawls! 🥳🏆🥳🏆🥳🏆

My choice of the Antoid Platoon was perfect for this low mana matchup. The opponent picked an all melee team and they simply did not have the required DPS to even scratch the Antoid Platoon with it's Shield ability.

All I had to do was wait for my Radiated Brute to slowly take his entire team down bit by bit at a time until victory was secured.

LOST.

There was no way I was going to win this battle. The opponent's lineup totally outclassed mine. Queen Mycelia and Katrelba Gobson were a notch above what I was able to field. The magic damage from the Golbin Psychic and Queen Mycelia also totally ignored all the armoured defense that I was counting on.

Ah well, at least this was a well deserved victory claimed by my opponent. I had no qualms over my loss here 😅.

WON.

The opponent FLED! 🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻 Yay? I guess. A win is a win - no matter how it comes about.

This is one of the reasons I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

LOST.

The ruleset "Even Stevens" really screwed me over here. My collection of Gold Foil cards was at the bare minimum at best and having more than half my cards (which are clearly odd numbered) be deemed unusable was the death knell for me. 😵😵😵

I wasn't able to field a full team at all ACROSS ALL MY DECKS (I'd actually rented a gold foil summoner for every single splinter), and lost to sheer numbers.

I finished with a win-loss ratio of 2 wins and 2 losses.

This was definitely a big improvement for me compared to the previous week's brawls. I'd managed to improve my win rate from an abysmal 0% to 50%! 🤣🥳

Granted one of the wins was due to my opponent fleeing, but we need some good fortune sometimes too! 🤞🏻🍀

A more strategic acquirement of some cards and some RNG heading my way and I might have been able to put up more of a fight for the 2 battles which I lost. This was definitely a good learning experience and I'll come better prepared the next time round. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We finished on the podium! The first 2 guilds were too far ahead for us to realistically catch up with them. But we had quite a lead over everyone else below. It seems like it was a good performance from everyone overall. Lets keep up the good work!
