A new season of rewards - Gold Edition - Day 11
DAY 1
Here we are again. The last season ended yesterday and we got some great rewards over the last season. My EOS rewards were not the greatest. I got only 1 rare card and the rest were commons. The pack is always nice though. I added the EOS as a bonus in the photo's below. Knowing that I would be back in Silver, I played more games to lower my ECR and get better and more chests during the last season. Today I got 11 chests because of that. If you look at the total values the 12 chests were not that bad in comparison to the EOS rewards :(.

DAY 2
As I stated before I sacrificed my earnings from today for some gold chests on day 1. I played my ECR down a little more and didn't have enough ECR for a good amount of chests. Lets see what happens tomorrow. Todays rewards were not that great :). However, 448 DEC from battles on the first day makes up for the loss in chests.

DAY 3
I've been focusing on some tournaments lately. As I had neglected them lately and immediately got some profits. +4 and +18 DEC with ranking 11th in one tournament. One win away from my second top 10 finish. I beat some opponents that are normally a instant lose hehe. Now that my deck has a decent amount of level 4 summoners I started competing in Silver tournaments as well. I am trying to upgrade my deck to the silver level and have some bids outstanding on GF legendaries. Today we got lucky with another pack :).

DAY 4
Today I had a festival in the Netherlands. I had to play all my games in the morning and get to a low ECR to still get some good games in. I enter teams to skip the battle immediately to speed up some time. It does not provide you feedback but it gives you some fast rewards. I got a total of 10 chests including a Gold Foil.

DAY 5
Now that my summoners are upgraded to level 4 (max silver) I have an easy time in the silver league. I perform really well in silver / bronze tournaments without renting any cards. I do consider myself a good player (not top, but just the level below that). At the time of writing this I am number 41 on the Silver leaderboard. I get a lot of more chests daily because of I win a lot of games now. However, Tomorrow I will level up to the Gold, because I want to maximize my SPS earnings in the new system. I will also rent some cards to get some better results in gold to maximize my SPS earnings.

DAY 6
Today was the last day in Silver. With Splinterlands updating its game in a few hours we are able to start earning SPS. I want to maximize my SPS earnings. Before the rewards were claimable I upgraded to the Gold league. According to splinterlands calculations, chests in Gold earn significantly more in Gold. I want to try this out and maximize my earnings obviously. Today we had a nice amount of DEC with 450 as the max in one chest.

DAY 7
Today marks the first day of the SPS rewards and I immediately got some. It looks a bit weird on the screenshot as they calculate too much decimals for it to look normal. I got 6.92 SPS. With 6 chests that had SPS in them it was an average amount according to the initial calculations of splinterlands. Let see what the future will bring.

DAY 8
Today we got 7 chests again. Only this time we only had 2 chests containing SPS, however 1 chest contained over 15 SPS in it. Making it a good day totalling the rewards at almost $1. Matchmaking is hard for me. Sometimes I play level 6 summoners and sometimes I get to play level 3/4 summoners. This causes my wins to fluctuate a lot. Sometimes I get on a win or loss streak. Lets see if I can climb a little higher without renting any cards yet.

DAY 9
I am slowly moving up the rating. Winning more games and earning more chests feels great at this time. Unfortunately only two of the eight chests contained an SPS reward. Cards are never bad and go immediately into the rental market (sometimes they rent at 0.1 DEC). Also I have been bidding on loads of CL GF cards to rent out slowly. This way I have some DEC income daily which I can always use on some of my own rentals.

DAY 10
Today seemed like all my chests were full of Merits. It is nice to get some merits, but I can't buy any bloodstones yet so I don't want to spend them too much at this moment. It is more a thing for the future. I kept winning and seem to be moving up really fast now. Currently I am in Gold I and earned an easy 10 chests.

DAY 11
My first (big) SPS reward was here. A total of 69 SPS in one chests worth over 3 dollar. I have no idea what the maximum is for Gold chests. It is probably a bit higher, but it also makes me way more happy than the less than 1 rewards off course. Every SPS I get is great, because it highers my total. Lets continue this progress and get some more great rewards.

Thanks for your question. You can currently spent your merits in the guild store. If you go to shop on Splinterlands in the right corner you see Guild. If you are part of a guild you are able to spend those merits. I like to buy gladius cases (packs). They contain Gladius cards which you can use in Guild Brawls.
Also in Guild Brawls you earn merits. In the future they anounced that they will also rewards some SPS to guild brawls. Right now could be a moment to start earning a lot of Merits so you can earn SPS in the future.
