Results of $100 Pack Opening Livestream
Earlier today I ran my first Splinterlands livestream on my Youtube account! It went extremely well, thanks in large part to this awesome community. Despite never having covered Splinterlands before (my channel has been almost entirely Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes up until this point) we had around 300 people swing through the stream at some point. But I know a lot of you are curious to see the results of my $100 pack opening but don't really want to skim through a 2 hour video. I don't blame you, I wouldn't either! Live streams just aren't as fun when you can't interact with everyone...well...live. So I decided to compile a list of all the cards I received and their value into this post.
First off though, a confession. I apparently got sidetracked and didn't open my final 10 packs. So while this was intended to be a 50 pack opening, it was only a 40 pack opening. Although technically, if you count the potions consumed, it was still a $100 pack opening! But alas, here are the results!

Overall the value of my entire haul was $58.28 based on the cheapest sell price available in the marketplace. I honestly have no frame of reference for opening packs, so I'm not sure how that compares to your averages. A lot of the value for me was having fun on stream, and I certainly got that. I did not expect to get $100 worth of cards out of $100 in packs, because that's just not the way packs work. If so, all of these packs would have sold out long ago as everyone rushed to flip their contents for profit. But it does reinforce a very important lesson for new players like myself. The best value for getting started is in the marketplace, not in packs!
