Centaur: The monster with the fury of a man and strength of a horse

The monster chosen by splinterlands for this week battle challenge is a very old monster which is also very useful based on the fact that it is a neutral monster, it can be used with all splinter as long as neutral cards ain't ban....

The sniping ability makes it over powered when used with summoners like zaku and prince rennyn and it has no rival until the release of chaos and now we have more snipers but still this card really can't be cast aside as it still has a void to fill!

This card is one of the most used neutral cards in battle as pro players like using it along with other splinters sniping monsters, for example now if a player want to go full snipe on his opponent, the fire and earth splinter is most used...

FIRE SPLINTER TACTIC: The snipers will be the last three monsters on the team so in this order: centaur, mantoid, fire beetle/ferexia general Using four snipers may weaken the team defence because the first and second monsters must be able to take big hit from the opponent..

EARTH SPLINTER TACTIC: Child of the forest, centaur and spirit of the forest the combo of this three monster is always strong for sniping and no matter how strong that second monster is, it will definitely die from this three attacking it due to their speed and heavy range attack.. always remember to use two strong monsters at the front tho..*

In the battle, the failer summoner and lord arianthus were used as defence and the time wasted by the enemy to kill those two will be an advantage for the snipers as they do heavy damages on the opponent team and render him powerless and go for the win...

The moment the opponent spirit miner died, the battle was already in saffi favor and she won it easily..

Here is another battle with the same sniping strategy, merely looking at the opponent set up, it can be easily guessed that saffi had more chance of winning because the opponent came with a summoner that has no effect on her monsters and the prince will also increase their range power by 1 and also the speed is another thing..

With the release of more snipers in chaos legion edition, i really do think centaur may not be used like before any longer but it is a good card no doubt!
