splinterlands weekly battle challenge: Time mage the manipulator of the present

It is 5a.m here, the brightness of the room woke me up, the power was off since last night which made me unable to post and also made me sleep early and just few minutes ago, the brightness of the bulb and sound of the starting fan woke me up as that indicate power is back...

The first thing that comes to mind is the splinterlands battle challenge post which i should have done yesterday itself, but it is better late than never....

Time mageis among the first rare chaos monsters i maxed because it is a good card to have in one's collection, her ability is cool, slow down the opponent and also take away their armor with her rust ability and it is pretty cheap as well so i better get it before it pump in price..

I admire all monsters with the rust ability as they make hitting the opponent monsters easier due to the fact they always remove the armor that could serve as a barrier.. i just had a battle with epicraptor in which my time mage did a wonderful job by removing the armor from his monsters..

It was a tough battle but the opponent was at a disadvantage because he came with more range attackers and i used a range killer card as my tank heal

The shield bearer was my tank heal and i purposely used it because my instinct tells me the opponent is coming with range attackers and i was right! 80pcent of the monsters he used were having range attacks which gives me higher chance to defeat him.

Life in the life splinter without the truthspeaker would have been very tough, she is a very useful card and one of the best healer out there, she heals, she also protect by adding armor to all friendly monsters and lastly is her divine cleasing prowess!, i used it in the second position to make sure my tank heal doesn't die so fast

The time mage was the next card i used as i needed a monster to get rid of the opponent armor and it didn't dissappoint me, it rendered the armor provided by the spirit of the forest used by the opponent useless and that way i was able to penetrate easily with my sneaking monsters..

The silvershield assassin still remain one of my most favorite card on splinterlands, i just like this card for its double strike and poison ability as those ability makes it dreadful and most times she always deliver, this time tho she had a problem hitting the spirit of the forest due to her flying and high speed but the next sneaky monster i used solve that problem.

The flying monsters ain't gods! they can be killed and that is why we have monsters like sandworm with the snare ability which never miss any monster with flying ability, i was able to terminate the enemy spirit of the forest with the sandworm help and it was a smooth ride from there as the assassin could now perform her job and assassinate the rest of the team with less effort!...

The lone boatman with his shatter and repair power, what if the enemy had used the same splinter and also come up with shield bearer? that is where loan boatman will come in handy, he can easily break any armor with his shatter ability and hence that will give me the chance needed to penetrate the monster with the shield, he is a builder and a destroyer, he build his team armor and destroy the enemies own, how awesome he is!

I won the battle with each monster performing as expected , the enemy must not have expected such a set up or else he won't have come with all range attacks, well that is the kind of mistake winners always hope their opponent commit all time lol..
