🐲 Brawl Report 🐲

I again selected the Bronze, Chaos only fray. I was fortunate to have seven battles this time around, after last weeks four. Fortunate if I could perform I guess. If I went 0-7 I would probably be saying the opposite 🤣 This was a tough draw for The Calzones this Brawl. Six of the eight other guilds had a higher rating. Have to beat the best if you want to be the best I guess!

Quix v Quix — Not a great start! I rented some cards this go around and am trying a few new lineups. I had a decent lineup, but Captain Katie was my downfall. Three magic damage crushed me. Loss (0-1)
After studying, I didn't have many winning options, but this lineup of small and punchy cards would have made it a toss up.

Kelya v Kelya — I choose well 😀 I would often select Diemonshark with Stampede and Spreading Fury rulesets, but I had a hunch I would be going up against some armor and wanted some heavy magic damage. I breathed a sigh of relief when I triggered Bloodlust and still won. Win(1-1)

Quix v Kelya — Another new lineup for me. I love the double-double strike, but it was actually Prismolosit's Blast that came through for me. After getting stomped last Brawl by Isgald it was nice to take him out this time around before Bloodlust kicked in. I was worried about the Scavo/Merdaali combo in the back but I was able to take out each card before it became a problem Win (2-1)

Kelya v Kelya — More Water v Water action. This time my level two Kelya was too much for my opponents level one Kelya. Unsurprisingly we both selected Disitegrator to help slow the Super Sneak ruleset down. I made a poor choice in placing him in the back, but was able to overcome it being a higher level with just enough higher firepower. Win (3-1)

Kelya v Kelya — Third battle of the Kelya's 😲 Very similar lineups choosen by myself and my opponent. I like my choice of Deeplurker over my opponent choice of Flying Squid because it gives my one more melee damage and one more mana to spend. For that one extra mana I choose Xenith Archer that was able to make some noise, while my opponent used Chaos Agent in the back as a weak meat shield. Win (4-1)

Kelya v Kelya — Another Kelya v Kelya 🤣. I have the advantage again of a level two versus a level one, but my opponent again has Isgald which worries me. Thankfully Resurrect worked according to plan and brought back Diemonshark with full armor and allowed me to take this battle with no losses. Win (5-1)

Thaddius v Quix — More Water v Water action. This time my level two Kelya was too much for my opponents level one Kelya. Unsurprisingly we both selected Disitegrator to help slow the Super Sneak ruleset down. I made a poor choice in placing him in the back, but was able to overcome it being a higher level with just enough higher firepower. Loss (5-2)
My opponent choose well and I didn't have many options with Thaddius that would have won. Hindsight, knowing my opponents sleections, shows that selecting Obsidian would have given me an easy victory. I also now own a card, Revealer, that I did not before the Brawl that could have led to a win as well.

🎈🎈 I had a shot right up until the end to go six and one, but my last opponent slid in at the end to take me to five and two. I'll take that result all day long!🎈🎈

There was some stiff competition this time around so I was please with the result and I'll be looking to keep improving.

I wasn't joking when I said we had stiffer competition this go around. We scored 93 points and still came in sixth. The top two teams tied with 171 points. The good news is we should have enough crowns to upgrade our store to level two after the next Brawl. We've accumulated enough DEC to upgrade the Baracks as well, but that will take a few more Brawls to accumulate another 40 crowns. Once we can start accumulating and using Gladius cards we are going to be an even larger force to reckon with

As with most activities connected to Hive, and the crypto world in general, I discovered PIZZA because of Splinterlands. Also like most Hive connected activities I discovered a world of possibilities beyond what I expected. So what exactly is PIZZA?
