Splinterlands Daily Quests - Sneak and Earth

A quick post to share my last two days of quests and my season stats through the first three days.

Yesterday's quest was Sneak. This always seems to be a difficult quest for me as I tend to force it more than the other quests. It is easy to slip a sneak monster in to about any line up, regardless if it is makes the most sense or not. I ended up doing okay and was rewarded with a Pleacor Deceiver.

Today's earth quest started off frustrating. Three of my first five battles ended with what looked like me hitting the surrender button. I would choose my lineup, hit battle and be almost immediately shown a screen with me losing. The first time I thought I had mistakenly hit the surrender button but after the second occurrence I should have stopped and tried to figure out what was going on. Instead I waited until the third time it happened and wasted another battle.

It looks like what happened is I had one of my rental cards cancelled about ten minutes before I started playing. The card was still showing in my cards and each time I used that card in a battle I was immediately given a loss. I only figured out what was happening as I logged into Peakmonsters and saw the card was not on the list of my cards.

Has anyone else ever run into this technical difficulty? Was this actually the issue? I'm assuming it was because I did not run into the issue again after avoiding that card and it also did not continue to show in my cards a short time after.

After the frustrating start I was on a roll and matched my all time best win streak of nine wins in a row. Yesterday was the first time I took time and used SplinterTools. I found the information I gained from my losses the day before helped a lot. I will not go as far as to say I am getting good at the game, as my barely 50% win rate shows, but I am starting to get a better grasp on the cards and when I do lose, I have a better understanding why.

After my win streak I got over confident and started making silly errors, forgetting what I had learned the day before. It was an interesting day with some highs and lows but as always, I learned something and walked away with an extra Alchemy potion for my efforts.
