$$$
I spent 694 more DEC on rentals than I won from battles and chests. To help counter some of this expense I placed a greater emphasis on leveling up all of my common cards that were stacking up and even purchased a few gold foil commons as I saw prices dropping. This allowed me to place more cards on the rental market and earn just over 20 DEC. With this added to the total I was roughly $2 in the hole.
Thankfully Splinterlands offers many ways to earn and this was not the end of the story. I gained just over 17 SPS from airdrops and staking rewards. The average price of SPS for the season was about $0.11 which equates to ~$1.87 in earnings.
On to the market value of the cards I won. The biggest gain came from my first legendary pull from a chest. For the first time I was able to experience the excitement of my chest shaking after clicking and I watched a Harklaw appear. This, and a gold foil Pelacor Conjurer were the drivers of a total market value of $6.54.
After subtracting losses I was left with a $6.41 gain. Adding in last season's $4 gain I'm looking at over a $10 gain for the 27 days period. Not bad for playing a card game!
Last Seasons Goals
At the end of last season I mapped out a few goals to strive for:
1️⃣ Complete my level two/three Water splinter build and start a list of the next set of cards I would like to purchase.
✔️ I have collected the list of Water cards I set out to purchase. I'm going to say I failed at the easy part, starting a list of my next purchases. The list has turned into a novel! I'm not sure which direction to go next so I have some thinking to do 🤣
2️⃣ Build a greater knowledge, and wallet balance, of Hive secondary tokens
✔️ I blew past the required 20 staked PIZZA tokens and have been successfully tipping PIZZA five times a day 🍕 I also discovered Hive Bits and have been tipping them once a day as well.
Looking to Next Season
In the same tradition as last season I'm going to give myself some goals to strive for.
1️⃣ I'm going to go for a stretch goal this season. I'm currently sitting at just over 12K CP. By the end of the season I want to be at 15K CP and officially in the Silver League without having to rent.
2️⃣ I have fallen very far down the secondary token rabbit hole. I am half way to having enough LUV tokens to be able to tip LUV on others posts. My goal is to collect the last half by the end of the season. I also have 200 PIZZA staked on my list of short term goals. I'm not 100% sure I can get there by the end of the season, but I'll make a go of it. My current staked balance is just over 50.
3️⃣ Another not strictly Splinterlands goal, but this season ends near the end of the month. I am nearing 100HP and am aiming to participate in next months Hive Power Up Day.
