Splinterlands Meaty Challenge

(Edited)

This week's share your battle challenge involves using a card from the earth splinter.

A veteran who is a tank. Endurance is its forte, it might be slow but you'll have a hard getting through this wall of meat!

Without further ado let's jump into it!

Theme: Flesh Golem

The Flesh Golem is a common card from the Beta edition.

It might be slow but its ability to sustain damages by healing being resistant against magic attacks makes it worth it.

It starts with an melee attack of 2. Pretty good for the lower levels of the green splinter.

This card is very popular, mainly because of its ability to heal and its high amount of hitpoints from the get go.

It can be yours for 0.18 $.

I believe this is underrated, this card is a must have on any green deck.

At level three it obtains the ability to heal.

At level seven it gets the void ability.

You should also consider that at level three its attack gets a boost to 3, on par with the Orc

Where NOT to use

Due to its high attack and its not so high mana cost The Flesh Golem should pretty much be considered for most rulesets:

Take into account that you shouldn't use it for the following ruleset

  • Healed out

During Healed out the Golem losses its main advantage over other attacking options from the earth splinter.

The fact that it has 9 hitpoints, the ability to heal and a strong attack turns it into a valuable option everywhere.

The Battle

This Battle took place in a livestream challenge against @kennethbosak.

Chect out his Youtube channel!

This battle involves the rulesets of "Up close & personal" and "Equalizer"

For this battle the main star is the new summoner: Mylor Crowling

This amazing summoner grants every single card the thorns ability.

This ability returns melee damage in the same way Magic reflect and Return fire do.

In other words every single card from my friend is receiving damage back after attacking.

This was a match of low mana, thus it was hard to bring in many cards.

My Lineup

  1. Flesh Golem: The Golem of the week. Massive tank, healer and will return melee damage.

  2. Screeching Vulture: For a match on Equalizer and a low mana cap, its ability works like another card with low melee attack.

  3. Parasitic Growth: Basically the same as the Vulture, his role as an opportunity companion pops up again.

  4. Brownie: Unable to attack. its contribution is unvaluable though, hard to get hit due to high speed and a wall due to equalizer.

Brownie had to battle against fast rivals, he wasn't able to dodge, but he weakened my rival's sneaking cards greatly.

On the frontlines my Flesh Golem graciouly resisted the offensive from cerberus and Magma Troll, while dealing damage at the same time.

My rival's cerberus wasn't able to hold up against the damage caused by thorns, opportunity and my flesh golem. After that the victory was guaranteed.

My Flesh Golem left the battlefield unscathed.

Second Battle

In this battle you will see how lethal the combination of the Flesh Golem and the wood nymph can be. I was able to heal 6 damage each round, thus my rival was unable to get through my golem.

See you in the Battlefield!

Thanks for sharing! - @ashikstd

Well said about Flesh Golem.

this card is a must have on any green deck.
It's so true and I also think like that for Flesh Golem.

Nice lineup for both battles.
Keep on playing.
