Buying Splinterlands Credits with WAXP = Simple
I don't know about you, but I've got some WAX in my CLoud Wallet that's burning a hole.
Splinterlands is built on the HIVE blockchain, which allows free and near-instant transactions. You probably knew that already, but you may not have known that wallets for others cryptos can be directly integrated to your Splinterlands account. This includes WAX.

As you can see in the above image, you can use a dozen different cryptocurrencies to purchase Credits. My WAX Cloud Wallet is already integrated to Splinterlands, so purchasing the Credits is as easy as a single click.
The WAX Cloud Wallet is my recommendation, but that is simply because I have not used the Scatter Wallet. Because my wallet has been connected to my Splinterlands account, clicking that button creates the transaction and pushes it through.
Once I see this box, I know that my Credits are on the way. It has never taken 20 minutes (like the box says). Typically I have just closed this popup and within 5-10 seconds, the Credits have showed up safe and sound in my account.
It looks like I need 12 more BCX of the Pyromancer to get to max level. I can get the 12 I need for a total of 2239 Credits. Let's make the purchase!

Thanks for this tutorial. I have never used WAX before. It is a gaming token, right? A platform to cross-link in-game currencies and stuff?

WAX has been pushing the envelope with every release this year. They're doing more than anyone else for these last few months to reach mainstream crowds and gradually show them what blockchain can do for gaming, collectibles, trade, etc.
They are equally easy to use as HIVE (free transactions, super fast), and they have incredibly active NFT markets.
I have taken part in all of the NFT offerings from WAX this year (GPK, Shatner, Blockchain Heroes, KOGs...). They are a ton of fun. Each one gets more attention than the last and sells out faster.
Recently with Atomic Hub they have allowed for the creation of smarter NFTs called atomic assets, which is kind of the original vision of Splinterlands :) I have been trading Blockchain Heroes cards there and I love it! I actually sold a card from a $5 pack for $1200 the other day, so now I have some money to put into KOGs on the 18th.
As the third and final part of our partnership with WAX, Splinterlands actually has plans to make our NFTs transferable to WAX the way they currently are with Ethereum. Once that happens, it's really on!
