Social Media Challenge | The great power of "The Kraken

It's been a week since I last posted, however, I have been talking about many strategies, as I believe that, this is the right way for many of the new players that join "Splinterlands", to observe the mechanics of the game and also the way it is played, of course, this is always under my opinion and experiences in the game, so I always publish what works for me and I try to be very clear in sharing it with all of you, this so you can replicate my battle formations and increase your chances of winning, it should be noted that the formations are very simple.

On the other hand, in addition to the strategies that I share, I have also detailed some cards that are essential for a certain battle and of course for the "Splinters", since, practically, it gives you a huge advantage against any opponent, this is the case of this specific battle, where I intend to detail, what for me is one of the most powerful "Battle Tanks" of the whole game, which is nothing more and nothing less than the card called "The Kraken".

Before continuing with my alignment and strategy, for this occasion, I will detail one of the tanks that I like to use every time I battle with the "Water Splinter", in this sense, you will appreciate the description of what "The Kraken" is.

his card for me is one of the best and I have a lot of appreciation for this one, since, when I started in the game, it was one of the first legendary cards I could have in my deck, since in my daily mission rewards, I was very lucky to get several, even a golden one, which I had to sell for various reasons, but that's another story, knowing this, to begin with, this card is of the "Legendary" type under the "Rewards" edition with the frame of the "Beta" edition cards, which long ago sold all their packs, where, currently we can only find them in the secondary market of "Hive Engine or Tribaldex", however, this card being of the "Rewards" edition, it is impossible that it can come out in the "Beta" packs, since, we could only win it doing at that time the daily quests.

My "The Kraken" is level 3, so, it is very powerful, however, it does not mean that at level 1 it is not, since, it is also quite difficult to defeat as long as we can follow the battle rules, since it has clear weaknesses, so, the most outstanding of this monster, are the following characteristics:

  • Life points: The life points of this card are very high, since one of its abilities called "Taunt" attracts all the attacks towards it, this requires that it has a good amount of health.

  • Attack Points: The attack points of this card are very high, its melee attack type is lethal, possibly reaching with some support cards up to +6 points, but, thanks to its "Enrage" ability, it can double its attack and speed.

  • Speed Points: This card has very good speed points, which start from +4 points, however, as mentioned above, this can be doubled thanks to "Enrage".

  • Demoralize: A great ability that decreases the melee attack points of enemy monsters by -1 point.

This card is really useful and one of the strongest I have in my deck, a natural tank, with a lot of strength in any of its stats, it really makes me win many battles and it is always good to have at least one "The Kraken" level in our deck.

This battle was great, my strategy was to increase the melee attack power of all my cards, taking advantage of the power of my "Kelya Frendul", which increases the shield points by +1 point and also the speed by +1 point. However, my main defense was my "The Kraken" with the support of "Merdaali Guardian", repairing his shield and life points, which gave enough time to the rest of my team to attack from different angles, with "Reach, Opportunity and Sneak" skills.

But in general lines, this is a very easy strategy to follow and that also has brought me a high rate of victories, I usually have streaks of more than 8 victories, losing 1 or 2, but, many times they are usually more victories, of course, varying teams and alignments, but it is really winning and I hope you can execute it, since it is not very complicated.

In this battle I was able to highlight the power of several of my favorite cards of "Chaos Legion" with the water team, but placing as main protagonist my "The Kraken", which obtained a maximum attack power of +8 points and a maximum speed also of +8 points, which made my monster unstoppable.

Link to my Battle🏆

Rule of my Battle

Equalizer & Heavy Hitters with 54 Mana.

  • Mana: 54.
  • Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
  • Heavy Hitters: All Monsters have the Knockout ability.

    Kelya Frendul

This is my favorite summoner of the "Rare" type of the new edition of "Chaos Legion", since the abilities that it brings to the whole team are incredible and very useful to be able to win, the fact that it can have +1 point of speed is determinant in any battle, besides the shield point is also extremely useful, where, both together can serve both for defense and attack.

    The Kraken

The star monster of this battle, since it was the most powerful card of the whole field, its +8 attack points and +8 speed points in combination with the protection of "Merdaali Guardian", made my "Kraken" become a very difficult monster to defeat, since my opponent missed many of his attacks that went directly to my Kraken, also, taking into account that they had "Yodin Zaku" as a summoner, I thought from the beginning that the battle would be complicated, but "The Kraken" was victorious.

    Flying Squid

My card in the 2nd position and a very good one, since this is the replacement of my "The Kraken" if it had been defeated, however, thanks to its powerful +4 attack points and +5 speed points together with its ability called "Reach", it could attack from this position, in order to form a combined attack with "The Kraken", causing a total damage of +12 melee attack points.

    Deeplurker

One of the strongest and most useful cards on my side of the field, since thanks to his "Opportunity" ability, he focuses on attacking cards with the least amount of vital points, in addition, his ability called "Poison", allows him to cause double the damage in conjunction with his "melee" attack, since his +5 attack points and +5 speed points, plus the probability that these are poisoned, increases his total damage up to +7 attack points.

    Merdaali Guardian

This is one of my favorite support cards in my "Water Splinter", because, thanks to its combined abilities, this card alone is able to Repair the shield of the card that has the most affected shield in the battle and also regenerate the vital points of my tank "The Kraken", which makes this the perfect combination of support and support so that my cards can resist much longer on the battlefield.

    River Hellondale

A very useful support and attack monster, able to inspire all the cards on my side of the field, giving +1 melee attack point, as if that were not enough, it is also able to revive the first monster on my side of the field that is defeated, this means that it gives me twice the time I need to face my opponent and the rest of my cards can have enough time to attack my opponent.

    Pelacor Bandit

The last card of my lineup and a very good one, because, although its main characteristic is to attack, its "Flying" ability gives it an incredible defense that works together with its speed points that amount to +6 points, so if my opponent placed a card with the "Sneak" ability focused on attacking the last card of my lineup, it had great chances of being able to defend and dodge a large part of these. Finally, its +4 attack points are very good when attacking the last position.

My opponent's formation was very good, plus he coordinated with his summoner "Yodin Zaku" and his ability to give +1 attack point to all monsters with ranged attack. The only thing that failed, is that his tank "Lord Arianthus", was not suitable for this type of battles, it may weighed that he would play with magic attacks, but by placing purely cards with melee attack and not having a "Support" card for his team, this could not resist long on the field, which ended up giving me the victory, since I had 2 very good supports that allowed my 2 cards in the front line to resist a large number of rounds, while all my cards attacked his cards.

This is a very simple strategy to execute, however, against a "Yodin Zaku", as in my case, it is better to have a super powerful "The Kraken", since it is able to resist a large number of attacks without falling in the 1st or 2nd round of the battle, giving opportunity for our attack line to do its job.

¡I invite everyone to join Splinterlands, the best game based on chains of blocks, full of adventures, battles, and strategies where you will have fun and get rewards according to your league!
