Season One of rank rewards has finished.

With the conclusion of the first season of the new rank reward changes I'll go ahead and show my rewards for the season as well as compare them to previous season before the rank reward changes.

There is a new tool Splinterlands.Rentals that has come from this which will show you the average values for chests for each league. You can also choose to include potions or not, while most people don't value potions as someone sitting on 112 packs until the airdrop ends I have need for them.

Based on the average value I should have gotten for 220 silver chests (72 season and the rest from focuses about 10 a day) through the whole season I did come out ahead of the average value by about $6.00. With renting I probably got a bit overboard on what I rent and run usually 200 - 500 DEC a day lost.

If we take the average for 220 chest which is around $15 - $5 (500 DEC a day at current prices) this nets $10 a season. If DEC is at peg then it would be $15 - %7.50 or a season gain of $7.50. This will be the interesting part. Can I stop renting and maybe lose a few days until those renting move ahead of me and then still get 200 ish chest or will the rental market eventually price everyone out of renting. When modern and wild split happens, I don't need to rent for modern I have a good set of cards but will it still be better to rent and play in wild. As this update evolves it will be interesting to see where things lands.

Season comparison

Prior to the rank reward changes I played in Silver 2 and I didn't rent at all. Each end of season I would drop to bronze 3 and climb back up to Silver 2. So for the start of the rank rewards I was in bronze 3 and climbed back up to silver 2. After the 3rd day I didn't see a reason to stay in silver 2 and starting renting power and cards to play in silver 1. You can see the jump from 4 focus chest playing in bronze 3 to 6 & 7 chest playing in silver 3 and 2, Then the jump to 13 chest in silver 1. I did have a couple bad days even after in silver 1 with 8 - 9 chest and by end of season the aver was around 10 daily as the top of silver one is really competitive and I would hover around the 200 rank range.

Over all the change to rank rewards netted about 160 more chests for the season and about a 10 x in overall rewards from my previous season. Though as I said on average it should be around 7 X based on my previous season though I don't know if that was "average" or not. Some interesting comparisons is how some of the old reward 3 chests still have about the same value in them as 10 - 13 chest in the new system, RNG will be RNG.

Another thing to note is the value are all provided by splintershare.info which as far as I can tell uses market value when looking at the chests you got. So all numbers and pictures for my rewards for both season were pulled all on the same day except the last 2 days and EoS of this season were pulled on their respective days. Also the previous EoS amount was helped by the addition of the reward cards and their current value.
