The new Riftwatchers edition has brought with it a number of explosive cards that bring a real punch to the table when playing. The Cabalist is one of them, and in my opinion one of the best in the Death Splinter. Its magic power is at the summoner level, in fact I think it is more useful than Grandmaster Rathe in the Splinter of life, don't get me wrong, at least at level 1 in one of its abilities it is much better. Also the design of this card is great, it has an armor-like suit of armor worn by wizards in video games and animated series, and in his hands two powerful magic rings through which his power emanates. I think that of all the elements, in terms of character design, the Splinter of death is one of the best.
Among the stats and abilities of this card we have an excellent balance, it is of the rare type, although in my opinion it should have been epic, it requires 7 points of mana to be used and brings magic in the attack, specifically +2 at the initial level, reaching a maximum of +4 points at level 8. Its speed is decent, it starts at +2 and ends at +4 at the maximum level. As for its life it stays at +5 from level one to the last. So far I can't validate my argument of its rarity, but by studying its great abilities you might agree with me that this card for being rare is a real gem.
La nueva edición Riftwatchers ha traído consigo una serie de cartas explosivas que dan un verdadero golpe a la mesa al momento de jugar. El Cabalista es una de ellas, y a mi parecer de las mejores en el Splinter de muerte. Su poder mágico está al nivel de los invocadores, de hecho pienso que es más útil que Grandmaster Rathe en el Splinter de vida, no me malinterpreten, por lo menos en nivel 1 en una de sus habilidades es muchísimo mejor. Además el diseño de esta carta esta genial, posee un traje tipo armadura que usan los magos en los videojuegos y en las series animadas, y en sus manos dos poderosos aros mágicos por donde emana su poder. Pienso que de todos los elementos, en cuanto a diseño de los personajes, el Splinter de muerte es uno de los mejores.
Entre las estadísticas y habilidades de esta carta tenemos un equilibrio excelente, es del tipo rara, aunque a mi parecer debió ser épica, requiere 7 puntos de mana para ser utilizada y aporta magia en el ataque, específicamente +2 en el nivel inicial, alcanzando un máximo de +4 puntos en el nivel 8. Su velocidad es decente, comienza en +2 y termina en +4 al máximo nivel. En cuanto a su vida se mantiene en +5 desde el nivel uno hasta el último. Hasta aquí no puedo valer mi argumento de su rareza, pero al estudiar sus grandes habilidades quizás concuerden conmigo en que esta carta para ser rara es una verdadera joya.

Finally we have "demoralize" from level 6, which is well known and used by many, but if you do not know what it is, it serves to reduce the opponent's physical attack by -1. With these skills Cabalist becomes an exceptional support card, very useful in combat, and speaking of it, then I will show you a fight where I used it and the results were very satisfactory.
La primera de sus habilidades es la que pienso que supera en utilidad a Rathe, por lo menos en los primeros niveles. Estoy hablando de “Amplificar”, con esta habilidad los contraataques son potenciados en +1, la habilidad de espinas, reflejo mágico y fuego cruzado se benefician con la presencia de Cabalist en el equipo, y teniendo en cuenta que pertenece al equipo de muerte se puede aprovechar ampliamente. Su segunda habilidad es “Giant Killer” y la obtiene en el nivel 3, esta sirve para hacer el doble de daño a los enemigos que tengan 11 de mana en adelante, es una habilidad que hace honor a su nombre. Por ultimo tenemos “desmoralizar” a partir del nivel 6, la cual es bastante conocida y usada por muchos, pero si no sabes cuál es, sirve para disminuir el ataque físico rival en -1. Con estas habilidades Cabalist se vuelve una carta de apoyo excepcional, muy útil en los combates, y hablando de ello, a continuación te mostrare un combate donde la utilice y los resultados fueron muy satisfactorios.
For the use of the card and my strategy I required 29 mana points, as summoner I used Owster that gives me magic reflex, it is one of the skills that I like the most, in the first position my chosen one was Cursed Windeku that has thorns as main skill and the rest of my team I occupied it with three cards that focused their attack towards the second opponent row, and my Cabalist as an anchor point of course. Once the combat began, the fruits of my strategy came to light, each magic attack was returned in a higher proportion, and having Windeku in the first position the thorns did the same devastating work. Cabalist was in the fight actively and passively doing damage, both directly and indirectly. The passive damage dwindled only when Windeku was eliminated and when my opponent's magic attack ran out. As it was a low mana battle, the fight was resolved in 5 turns, his great power was countered thanks to Cabalist's ability, and the victory leaned towards my side until it was totally consummated. Para el uso de la carta y mi estrategia requerí de 29 puntos de mana, como invocador use Owster que me proporciona reflejo mágico, es una de las habilidades que más me gusta, en la primera posición mi elegido fue Cursed Windeku que posee espinas como habilidad principal y el resto de mi equipo lo ocupe con tres cartas que enfocaran su ataque hacia la segunda fila rival, y mi Cabalist como punto de ancla por supuesto. Una vez comenzó el combate, los frutos de mi estrategia salieron a relucir, cada ataque mágico era devuelto en una mayor proporción, y al tener a Windeku en la primera posición las espinas hacían el mismo trabajo demoledor. Cabalist estuvo en el combate activa y pasivamente haciendo daño, tanto de forma directa como indirecta. El daño pasivo menguo solo cuando Windeku fue eliminado y cuando el ataque mágico de mi rival se acabó. Como era una batalla de bajo mana, el combate se resolvió en 5 turnos, su gran poder fue contrarrestado gracias a la habilidad de Cabalist, y la victoria se inclinó hacia mi lado hasta consumarse totalmente. As you may have noticed, Cabalist's participation was fundamental to obtain the victory, I can say that he made my way easier in this combat, he is a support card that can have too much weight in the battles and at the same time be decisive. Its current cost is $0.64 per BCX, and you can have it at maximum level for less than $20, an excellent price from my point of view. Buying it is your choice, but if you can, don't waste the opportunity.
Como has podido notar, la participación de Cabalist fue fundamental para obtener la victoria, puedo decir que me hizo el camino más fácil en este combate, es una carta de apoyo que puede tener demasiado peso en las batallas y a su vez ser determinante. Su costo actual es de $0.64 por BCX, y puedes tenerla al máximo nivel por menos de $20, un excelente precio desde mi punto de vista. Comprarla es tu elección, pero si puedes hacerlo, no desperdicies la oportunidad.

I have to admit that I kind of overlooked this card. At first sight it doesn't look that interesting but it can become a real tank killer at high levels and in addition it comes with amplify! Thanks for pointing this card out.
