Chapter 2

After some time, Zintar woke up from his state, somewhat astonished by what had happened to him, but taking a breath he indicated to everyone that he was fine, so they decided to continue on their way.

Upon entering the cave they arrived at a sealed door, but each one showed his guardian stone and with it they had access to the place, once there they were amazed with what their eyes saw, it was like a pantheon, thousands of tombs adorned the place, a great army lay sleeping inside them, and all of them had the symbol of life.

Paladium did not know much about it, but he had a certain credulity based on the scriptures of his kingdom, that produced a kind of tranquility in him, and he began to feel comforted, his knowledge led him to think that maybe Jarlax was right when he said that they should find the stone of rebirth, reason why he changed his attitude and encouraged the group to move forward.

-Come on friends, let's move forward!- Paladium exclaimed

Everyone noticed his sudden disposition, and focused on the search for that precious object. Further on they reached a stream, and there they decided to rest. As they rested, Jarlax told them that the stone was like a seal, and that was the reason why those people were not dead but asleep in an "eternal sleep".

Lyanna asked, "Are there others sleeping in my realm as well?

-Not only in yours mortal girl, in each of the 5 kingdoms, remember that I told them that all our ancestors would wake up through the stone," answered the undead.

Inferno asked more about it and Jarlax was dedicated to answer, he even indicated the apparent reason for his long rest, the only thing he did not tell them is that once the stone was found everything would change drastically, but it was a crucial part of his mission, which he had to keep hidden, otherwise everyone would refuse to collaborate with him.

-All right, we've had enough rest," said Jarlax, "it's time to move on.

Having said this, they left the stream and arrived at a crossroads with two paths in front of them, but they all decided to follow the one on the right, something told them that this was their destination, and indeed it was so, because after a while of walking they found a mysterious room that kept the stone in a corner. When they saw it they were perplexed, it was within sight but seemed very distant.

They quickly realized that it would not be easy to obtain, but they had come too far to return without it, besides the undead showed some concern, and looked around constantly.

-What's wrong with you?" asked Paladium, but he received no answer.

Suddenly, Zintar remembered how he opened the tomb of the undead, only with his elemental stone he managed to do it, and instantly said to Paladium: "Show your stone, perhaps its power can bring us the stone of rebirth, or lead us to it.

When the young Paladin was about to do it, his mind was opened, and he had a vision where he observed wars, disasters and much destruction around, what surprised him the most was that he saw the kingdoms fighting each other, it was as if the vision indicated him not to take the stone, but something in him moved him to do it.

-I can't," he replied.

Alric saw him and asked him what was happening, but Paladium looked at him with a desperation that even the old sage of the sea felt fear. Faced with such a situation Inferno decided that the best thing to do was to leave the stone there and wait for Paladium to calm down, but Jarlax and Zintar showed some discomfort because of what had happened.

-Jarlax asked, and after receiving the answer he began to laugh in a somewhat dark way, but the intrigue took over all the others present, who became alert because of the attitude of the undead.

-So you have seen the future," he asked, but before receiving an answer he told them all in a loud voice, "What must happen must happen," and instantly took the young Lyanna and threw her towards the stone, and to the surprise of all the spectators, Lyanna was suspended in the air very close to where the stone of rebirth was.

-If you have not noticed, what keeps the stone away from us is a spiritual barrier, and only the power of life can remove it, as you can see, now Lyanna is in there, if you open it she will be trapped forever," said Jarlax, and continued with the following question: "What will you do young Paladin?

Paladium's desperation led him to attack the undead, but he was stopped by the others, besides Jarlax had no intention of fighting, his goal was to get the stone, nothing else, which is why he ignored the words and attitudes of Paladium. After that he sat down to wait, sure that his action would force Paladium to remove the barrier.

-After we get the stone, what's next," asked Alric.

-Nothing, the stone will take care of it, the barrier limits its power, but when it is removed, its wave will spread throughout this world and will wake up those who sleep, as simple as that," answered Jarlax.

Paladium, after a while agreed to remove the barrier, but before that he said to everyone, -if the visions I saw are the future, we are in for a lot of destruction and pain, I only hope that together we can face it-

-Don't be afraid young Paladium, we are in this together, don't forget that," Alric told him, and the others agreed with him.

When he finished hearing their words, he thanked them, and took out his stone raising it in front of the barrier, in the instant the whole place began to tremble, and the young Lyanna fell but was rescued by Inferno, the barrier had given way, and the stone of rebirth shone emanating very loud sounds that echoed all around, suddenly Jarlax stood in front of them, and said -we will see each other again, thanks for fulfilling your destiny Paladin- and after a deep smile disappeared without a trace.

Capitulo 2

-Vamos amigos, ¡avancemos!- exclamo Paladium

-No puedo- replico
