Splinterlands Art Contest // Week 172// Stone Golem vs. Prismatic Energy
For this weeks contest, I wanted to do another battle scene, so I decided to go with the Stone Golem and Prismatic Energy.
I used the above images as my references, fired up my Poser12 3d software and got down to business.
First thing was to bring in a Golem 3D model
I changed it to a lighter color so it would more closely match my reference image. I also changed the eye color to red, but it only shows in the rendered image.
I used an old medieval ruins scene for the background.
For the Prismatic Energy, I mixed together a few light particle effects, and by changing a few of their colors around, I was able to get the desired look.
And as usual, to do the animation for the Golem, I used my motion capture program. The project took a little longer then expected because the mocap camera was making it look like I was leaning to one side when I really wasn't. Luckily I got it all figured out, because I was trying to look like the Stone Golem not the Stoned Golem lol.

Another great @splinterlands animation!
And I love the last line - Stone Golem not "stoned" golem - lol!
Thanks @blueeyes8960! it was a little tricky, but I finally got it. Glad you got that joke at the end too lol
