Splinterlands Art Contest // Week 173// MEDUSA
For this weeks contest I am entering another one of my all time favorites.
I used this image as my reference
I started off with an old medieval ruins set as the backdrop.
For the snake part, I used a regular snake model with the head removed. Then I made it blue to more closely match my reference image.
Then I used a 3d model from my library named Aiko 3, I removed her lower body and attached the upper body to the snake.
After that, I added the snake wig model and painted it green, I also made the eyes red, but the eyes only show as red in the final render.
I put in some energy light particle effects, just because I thought she needed to be holding something in her hands.
At the end I added a couple of men who made the very bad mistake of looking Medusa in the eyes. As you can see, one of them tried to run away, but he was caught between a rock and a hard place lol
Another great take on a Splinterlands character.
"Caught between a rock and a hard place"- lol. Medusa has turned my enemies to rock in more than one battle - she's a favorite of mine!
Thanks for the comment @blueeyes8960! I have to admit, she was not one of the easiest ones to do, but definitely one of the most fun. Looking forward to seeing your next drawing too!

Handsome! I love how hard you did the drawing. The sigilous and slow movement of the hair and the tail and the pose on stalking while in the background you see someone trying to escape without being seen is totally great
Thank you for the very detailed comment. Glad you liked the animation, I had a lot of fun making it
