Sniper Team and Stampede Team both Ruleset in Play

Hive Splinterlands Meetup

I was at our most recent Adelaide Hive meetup the other evening and we got talking about the new updates that have filtered through into the game. The one that made an impression on me at this time was the new rule set of stampede. ( The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled monster is killed)

What does this mean and How to play this rule set.

The trick to this rule set is to make sure you select a tank (Powerful card in the first position) with the trample ability In my case I went with the life splinter and the Sacred Unicorn at level 3 he gets piercing and trample along with healing.

Put baby unicorn in the second position, do this for the following three reason

1. Adds one extra life to the team (useful when healing)
2. Add one Speed to team
3. Will soak up any blast damage

Devine Healer in third spot
TruthSpeaker in Fourth
Arrowsmith in Fifth
Silvershield Bard in sixth spot

So i am going for Speed, Healing, Armour and ruleset (Trample) How can i lose with such an awesome lineup.

My Opponent's Sniper Team

He had almost all of the counter measures to my team, the snipers will pick off my healer and support workers, bypassing my fortified TANK.

What impressed me was the obvious sniper target he placed in his line up, totally designed to be a meat shield to my snipe attacks (and it worked)

So with a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach I hit the rumble button

Watch this match and you will see that my team is out played and set for the bin, then this happens Trample attack and he goes down like a house of cards, so satisfying to watch.

Note that both opponents have much higher rankings.
