Help? I am getting back into Splinterlands

avatar

So I wrote a post a few days ago on my other account about how I was planning to get back into Splinterlands and I am back into Splinterlands reaching the next league fairly easy, but its locked because of my Power?

Card Power??

Can I only increase my power by buying cards off the market or packs from the store?? Or am I missing something?? I can also just wait to get the season rewards I guess and hope for some cards x)

I feel like as a new old player getting back into the game, its weird to be locked behind something like Power in the early stages.
I guess this is to prevent bots?

I sold all of my cards when I stopped playing and had enough DEC to buy a Dice Pack, I get some cards I felt like not using, so I have rented them out and that dropped my power down a lot. I didn't know renting out your cards would drop the power x)

Also. How can I stop my rented cards from being on the rented card market? I guess I can't stop an already rented card, which is fine.

I am just a bit confused :D

Also, if you have any tips and tricks to help me go further faster, please share them with me :D

I had most of those cards when I actively played the game.
My highest rating was 2823, which is Diamond III, if I remember correctly, so they are fairly good. Nowadays I still play Splinterlands, but not so actively as before. Nowadays I mostly play other games.

Diamond is quite good. Didn't you get a lot of Dec from that??
I am honestly wanted to get into it again, so I get those sweet sweet Dec and maybe convert it into Cub ;)

I do not remember the exact values, but I earned back my initial investment ($10 USD) (Beta Starter Set), and I also made some profit. I mean profit much more than my initial investment, so it was indeed good. Nowadays the total value of my card collection is $50.63 USD, and I currently have only a small fraction of cards of what I had before.

You can always rent out your cards now, so you can earn passive Dec
