Splinterlands Art Contest [Week 142] BORTUS
Por fin, aquí estoy; participando en el concurso de @splinterlands, después de veinte mil invitaciones que me hizo @enmy y no me pregunten por qué no había participado, por que ni yo lo sé XD.
Mi inicio en dibujando a Bortus, quien es un invocador de agua y tiene la habilidad de restar 1 de magia. Agua es mi favorito para jugar, aunque no tengo esta carta todavía; siempre he ganado más con este equipo.
El dibujo está hecho en acuarela y con algunos retoques de creyón. Los tonos de azules, verdes y amarillos. Desde el lápiz uno no tiene idea de cómo quedará pintado al final.
Finally, here I am; participating in the contest of @splinterlands, after twenty thousand invitations from @enmy and don't ask me why I didn't participate, because even I don't know XD.
My start in drawing Bortus, who is a water summoner and has the ability to subtract 1 magic. Water is my favorite to play, although I don't have this card yet; I've always won more with this team.
The drawing is done in watercolor with some crayon touch-ups. The shades of blues, greens and yellows. From the pencil one has no idea how it will look painted in the end.
Pasos - Steps
Copié directamente desde el monitor de la computadora a lápiz, las áreas más importantes para guiarme. Sabía que lo más difícil sería la luz que rodea a la lámpara; espero haber conseguido algo similar.
I copied directly from the computer monitor in pencil, the most important areas to guide me. I knew that the most difficult thing would be the light surrounding the lamp; I hope I have achieved something similar.
El primer color que usé fue el amarillo y en las zonas más claras. Es ahí donde tenía que reservar espacio para no pintar con tonos más oscuros.
The first color I used was yellow and in the lighter areas. That's where I had to reserve space so as not to paint with darker tones.
Oscurecí algunos tonos para otras zonas y seguí con el verde. Ya colocando tinta en zonas donda va colores más oscuros.
I darkened some tones for other areas and continued with the green. Already placing ink in areas where darker colors are going.
Con el fondo se define más el monstruo. Sin embargo todavía falta delinear las áreas. Eso lo haría con los creyones, pero en esta etapa terminé con toda la base de acuarela. Es genial como funciona la acuarela para crear texturas; no importa que se vea manchada, queda bien y sobre todo para este tipo de artes con cartas de Splinterlads.
With the background the monster is more defined. However, I still need to outline the areas. I would do that with the crayons, but at this stage I ended up with the whole watercolor base. It's great how watercolor works to create textures; it doesn't matter if it looks blotchy, it looks good and especially for this kind of Splinterlads card art.
El final con la aplicación de los creyones de acuarela le da mucha vida. Se incrementan los contrastes y se intensifican los colores. La máscara negra le da mucha vida. De delinea variasn zonas suavemente y se completó el marco. Aunque parece que tiene zonas en blanco, es por la foto ya que todo tiene pintura, aunque algunas partes, un amarillo muy claro.
The end with the application of the watercolor crayons gives it a lot of life. The contrasts are increased and the colors are intensified. The black mask gives it a lot of life. Several areas are outlined smoothly and the frame is completed. Although it seems to have white areas, it is because of the photo because everything has paint, although some parts, a very light yellow.
