lesson learnt from Life VS Fire Battle (99 mana)

This is a 99 mana cap battle so I had many choices to choose from.

I decided to choose fire because I needed to complete the fire quest. I also looked back at the opponent's history and felt that fire would be a good choice. clearly it wasn't (but hey I learnt a really good lesson)

Blast ability

I tried using the fire elemental quite a few times in my battles. However, it was mostly used when attacking the front row so I could not see it's potential of attacking the adjacent cards.

But this time, I was able to see it for the first time since I started playing splinterlands.

After hitting Luminous Eagle, it proceeded to hit Silvershield Knight.

Taunt ability

As the battle went on, it was my turn to hit my opponent. I was shocked that my cards attacked the Shieldbearer (the card with the taunt sign) instead of Elven Defender (the front row card).

Clearly I didn't fully understand the meaning of taunt.

Even though I lost,

I learnt a very valuable lesson. I now know that I can put cards with taunt anywhere and the opponent's card would have to hit the card with taunt before any card.

Do watch it to learn some new insights ( strictly for newbies only, better players correct me if I'm wrong hahaha )

Hope you enjoyed reading and learnt new insights! Thx for reading :)
