Same lineup different outcome

I'm not kidding, it's the exact same lineup 😔

Have you ever battled with 2 different people but they end up having the same lineup as each other, right after the other? Somehow, based on what I saw on their previous battle, I also chose the exact same lineup as my previous battle? Seriously, what are the odds of this happening? After so many battles, I saw something that I find hard to believe... maybe I don't have enough battles yet but still, it's a huge ouch on my side.

Also, I remember having a battle with another person last season and the person was using the same lineup as I had this time whereas I was using the opponent's lineup and I lost. So I thought that this time, if I used that lineup, it was a sure win. However, one can never be too sure in splinterlands. I know that splinterlands said that I might be surprised at the outcome, but no way this happened to me. Really a huge ouch.

Notice how the names at the bottom changed but the lineups did not (sorry it's abit blur) ^

I checked their cards and it seems like they are using the same cards as I am, no upgrades of cards because they are starter cards.

I find it quite curious how same lineups can lead to different outcomes and felt like there is actually luck involved in the algorithm of chance. But is there really? I'm not too sure because based on my battles, it seemed like there is. It ain't math anymore. I read about the calculations of chance here: https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@cornavirus/speed-and-evasion-chances-your-guide-to-splinterlands but still can't wrap my head around how this could happen..? I can only say chance is a very curious thing.

Yeah I personally believe a lot of the same lineups will either come from a youtube video or information displayed elsewhere. Also not to mention bot owners would invest in same cards to use across accounts or rent/borrow same cards i notice that in renting out wavesmiths alone that few people have multiple same rentals across different accounts

same lineups but with different outcomes too? Where did you find them because I want to see what kind of same lineups too. Sorry but what does renting got to do with the lineups in my post? Does it affect chances of missing? Sorry I'm still not very experienced in all these and would really like you advice! Read your introductory post and saw people talking about your good advice, but I can't seem to find your discord? Could you share it with me ahhaha

https://discord.gg/ZgzZz7ET yeah sorry i am only trying to draw in certain people into my discord so dont have published everywhere yet.

There is an rng factor to the game also if not bots would run rampant and solve things. The renting is why some you see to have same line up like bots will rent out the same teams and run the same lineups so you maybe facing those type of players.
