Apr. 28, 22: Routine, Errands, Oculus, TV, and Games

Woah! Made it all the way from nine to six tonight, so even with all the waking up and tossing and stuff, it was close enough to call it a full night. 👍 I didn’t drag too hard (a little) but I also didn’t really accomplish all that much either, so, kind of in that middle zone.

Not much going on during the morning routine other than the usual somehow losing more money on Polygon. At this point it just makes me giggle; laugh or cry is the choice, I suppose.

Otherwise, just the usual stuff. Spent a ton of time chatting over on Discord, and worked on my post for the day. Got it done and posted and then headed into town to the smoke shop and the puffity-puff store. Didn’t take me too long, and there was even enough time to jack into VR before lunch.

Played a bit of Mercenaries on Resi 4 and made some progress. Got enough medals to unlock a couple more in-game bonuses and the rest of the challenges. As I’d expected, though, they’re wicked hard!

Done pretty well now on most of them…but only gotten all five medals on one (surprisingly the one where I only had the harpoon gun - a tough one!) despite trying quite a few times, especially on the level with the Tommy gun where you don’t need to reload or worry about ammo. That’s definitely my favorite level, but it’s the time that keeps getting me…still need, usually, about 40,000 (40 kills at max combo) when the time runs out. 😢

Quit out and got some lunch and then hopped over to Pizza sever for Raven’s show. Was a good one today, with fifties and sixties music. 👍😁 Won some PIZZA 🍕 from the music trivia and airdrops 🤑 and then headed out once it finished.

I happened to catch an Oculus news video that came up in my YouTube feed and found that there’s a new free arcade mode update for ZombieLand (so had to get that) and an intriguing looking escape room style game on App Lab (which I couldn’t help but get 😛).

Was at a bit of a standstill having a tsunami of games to play (and still a couple where I’m right at the end and just need to finish out the last mission), plus Resi…but I jumped into the escape room one to try it out.

It’s a murder mystery set in an old theater…cool vibe so far and all the puzzles are physics based (like you actually have to turn the dials with your hands and press buttons with your finger - not click a button on the controller). 🤓 It is App Lab, though, so still a bit janky…it’s alright, I knew that going in.

I got past the first two areas and into the third. I got stuck, though. I need three numbers and I have two of them, but it seems like I should have the third and it wasn’t working. One neat thing, though, is that it seems like you have to solve the puzzles correctly in order; I needed a third number, so I just tried all of them, but that didn’t work either.

Quit out when Wenche got home and took care of the dishes while she made us sausage and steak over the leftover pasta from yesterday…basically a mashup of a bunch of stuff in the fridge, was good though. 😋

Other than that, we pretty much chilled for the rest of the evening and watched some more Ghosted. Definitely a funny show, digging it. 😁

Oh, one interesting thing I guess: I got a ping…someone is actually tracking the emoji usage stats on chain. 😂 Need to up my emoji game here. 👍💪🔥

I had nearly three thousand steps left, but I was running out of steam quickly. I laid down to watch tv and totally cheated…fell asleep for a bit, woke up and finished cheating.

Wow! dShitty piling it on today! 😮 We got General crime and two crises going. 😱 Negative thirty-five stated income, six actual, same as the last however many days.

Pretty sure it was a one mission day again today on Rising Star. Might have gone in twice, can’t remember. I got some temporary drunks messing with my Ego, but I’ve been doing missions for a while, so on switched over to a lesson for good measure.

Not really anything to do on HashKings today; just waiting out the clock I suppose.

I have gotten a little more MOTA from PGM calls (which is very cool), but probably not worth the time to go in and stake it.

My plants’ growth has reverted back to day one, can only mean three days left:

Honestly, I was tempted to play Splinterlands several times throughout the day, but I know what it’s like on the last day and just didn’t want to subject myself to it.

Hate missing out on daily quests, and I’m behind a couple now, but it is what it is…don’t need the stress or risk losing out of Diamond at the last minute.

So, a day of waiting out the clock on this game too. Not that much time left, though:

I actually forgot to go in and claim my SPS drop for today. 😢 Lost a little interest and maybe a fraction of a voucher, but not sure…doesn’t matter much.

Still haven’t sold off the vouchers I have on the market or moved any out. Getting low on liquid again, so thinking about it, but I need to bridge over that Polygon stuff as well.
