Apr. 29, 21: Errands, TV, Oculus, Laps, SM Season Ends, and Games
Hmmm, maybe my next goal shouldn’t be to have a productive day, but rather to have two productive days in a row! 🤔 Seems like they’re few and far between and the day after I get anything done I’m more or less wiped.
Anyway, made it to five thirty this morning at least, but still an hour and a half short. I wasn’t all that motivated (plus it was cold and rainy outside), but I did make it through without napping, so I suppose that’s progress.
To be honest, I did do quite a bit of thinking about the work that I need to do, for whatever that might be worth. Just trying to make some decisions to see if I can streamline things and/or make them more functional. Occasionally fighting a panic attack or two and bouts of self-doubt, but just got to push past that stuff and get on with it.
Needed to run into town to hit up the puffity puff store, so took the doggy for a quick ride into town and back. Snagged a sandwich and then really started to slow down.
I did lay down and watch a movie. Was a pretty intense psychological thriller: The Platform. People locked in a giant prison/experiment where food comes down on a platform...you can eat while it’s there, but you can’t keep anything and you know that the people on the levels below get what you’ve left...was an interesting premise and kept me pretty much on the edge of my seat, but I’m not sure I really got the ending. No spoilers, though, worth the watch.
Been procrastinating on playing Wraith because I was frustrated with dying at the same place, but figured I just needed to get good and try and make some progress. I did get past it! 💪 Progress made and saved! Fricking scary, big tall dude with half his head missing...the super sucky bit was that you had to open two (really three but the third wasn’t a quest item, just a cutscene) safes in the area with a voice recording, which of course brought the dude running. 😡 Got them, though, saw the seance and now I’m in a new area; seems that there’s going to be another scary biatch coming up pretty quickly. 😱
Wenche made some sausages and mashed potatoes for dinner and we watched some Punisher in the evening. Started thinking about heading to bed, but I had over a thousand steps left to go.
Did some laps to finish out the day, plus a little past for good measure. FitBit recognized it, so It’s Good!
Just watched some YouTube videos while I paced, since I was waiting for the Splinterlands season to end later on, and then stick a fork in him, he’s done.
General crime, a crisis, and taxes...does the dShitty story ever change? I hate to put hopes in yet another new president, been there and done that. 😢 Ultimately, I guess, we all bow to the Peg. (Classic Peg)
Solairitas’ average balance steadily continues to rise as I send over what I get. Of course, it’s crippled, but even so it seems strange how little difference 4000 SIM holdings has had...i.e. none, I still get .004 HIVE. I’ve even considered buying some SIM to try and make it move, but that’s just not worth it.
Got my Holybread tasks done for today. 👍 Been doing alright; still got a couple days left on my potions and getting close to having the gold I need...still waiting for the rug pull when we can’t buy potions with gold any more, could be a make or break change for me. I don’t have any intention of having to delegate to them to get the bread I need for potions, but we’ll see, still trying not to get my panties too much in a bunch about it.
I did, of course, get knocked back again not long after I took the photo, but I was there, number one baby! And I can prove it 😛:
I was able to get a brew going over on CryptoBrewmaster today. Got super lucky and got a blue lager worth almost 20 CBM! 😃 Means I’ve got nearly a hundred that I could withdraw; just waiting for now, though.
Today was the last day of the Splinterlands season, so of course I didn’t play; just waited for the reset.
Season rewards were a little better this time. A few less potions and a few more rare cards:
My Barking Spider leveled up, but I have not ever once used it, nor do I really have any intention of ever using it.
I did go into the market and grab a couple cards with the DEC I got. Nothing major, just working on getting a few more of the common cards up to usable level. My Nightmare is getting close.
