Aug. 16, 20: AutomaticWin, Grocery Shopping, LEC, Math, Movie, and Games
Up bright and early at six sharp today with another hour and a half short. 😢 I thought I was catching up, but then I lose it again right away. The afternoon wasn’t too bad, though, just had too much to do to be tired.
Busted the usual morning routine without anything to note. Same ol’, same ol’. Bitcoin majorly range bound between 11.5k and 11.9k...knocking on the door there at 12k, but low volumes so far, so not enough to break through.
HIVE still popping around 3% or so, nice to see that balance rise. 😀 BLURT still languishing in the same spot...got a fourth powerdown coming soon, they’re starting to pile up (still haven’t sold all the first one!). Hopefully, good things come to those who wait.
We had been thinking about heading out to the woods this weekend to see if we can get back out there or if the bugs are still too bad, but when we got up it was thundering, so we stuck in town just in case.
It was Sunday, though, so we went and got the Lady for her weekly romp. Easily drilled the #AutomaticWin. 🏆
Definitely an overcast day and we did end up getting rained on, but only like five drops.
Kind of a weird weather day...one minute cloudy and rain, next sunny, then windy! It couldn’t decide.
As we left the kitty came meowing across the street toward us. He certainly recognizes who we are!
I guess he wanted to go inside, so he wasn’t going to let us leave...ended up following us for several blocks to the point that Wenche had to go back and let him in.
Not a whole lot of pictures today, we were pretty focused on getting the distance in, but I did get a new kind of caterpillar:
The boxelder bugs are congregated together...makes for a writhing mass of bug bodies, all at various stages of development.
Doggies had a great time running around and Dude was VERY well behaved today. They got lots of treats. 😁
Once we got back, it was time to post. Got that all finished up and then we immediately headed into town to do the grocery shopping. We started off pretty good but still ended up at like $150...can’t seem to get out of there for less.
After that, it was time for our monthly Libertarian Executive Committee meeting. It was as to be expected, we made several new committees...isn’t that what committees do?! 😝
I went out and tended to the garden for a bit and then got some solid work done on the tedium of my thesis work. I did get six copies of my starting image nearly done and started working on laying out the structure to organize all the calculations I’m going to need to do. Not really progress, but hopefully work toward progress.
In the evening Wenche made steaks 🥩 and marinated potatoes 🥔 for dinner 😋 and we watched Project X, a movie we bought a long time ago. I think we’d seen it before, but it’s fun nonetheless...two eyes open.
Another crime free day in my dCity! The taxes have seriously come down and I got over 100 SIM for the first time in a long time. 🤑 Still not sure what my next move is going to be, but I’m getting close now.
Got my Holybread tasks all done, no problem. 😄
Keeping it going up in the top ten, baby! 🥳
I had Fire splinter for my Splinterlands quest today. I have always considered Fire to be my strongest deck, but lately I’m not so sure, it’s at least more of a struggle than I would have thought.
I got the quest done in Diamond II with a potion. Between the frustration of “playing” and the shitty rewards, I’m starting to get fed up again. They seem to be doing everything they can to reduce the number of cards we get and even more the number of good cards. 😢 Here’s the whopping $.05 I got today:
